I understand that it looks a bit disjointed with no symmetry between the chevrons and the square panel, but f*&k me if I haven't stopped being a design critic and had the odd fan boy moment or 20 during recent showdowns when it's looked like we're wearing the PBs from the back.

The #portpanel is more Port than chevrons and I like it.

i meant the shape of the OAK logo on the new home looks like its covering the old EA logo / Renault.
like oak only upgraded their deal only recently and had to alter the artwork last minute

I'm naturally a design purist, so I like things to be reduced to the bare minimum of elements. The BiB guernsey with white numbers is a thing of beauty. Sleek, aggressive and sexy.

However... there's something I really like about the white number panel version. As others have mentioned, it just 'feels' like a Port guernsey.

It's a trade off so that the old blokes in the outer get a sense that it's the same team they've always supported. (As per KT's comments in the podcast)

I'm down with the strategy.

One of the issues with a number panel is that if you don't actually get numbers in there, it looks stupid. Which means I'll be forking out another $20 when I finally buy one.

It'll look good with the white shorts though. The BiB with White shorts never looked right.

If we wanted the number panel, best way to do it IMO would've been BIB w/o number panel with black shorts at home, BiB w/ number panel and white shorts away, BiW clash.

This is bang on what I want, though I'd make the away guernsey have white collar and cuffs too. Would be an absolutely mint collection that way.

Since last year's world cup, where the All Blacks lived up to their name, I thought Port should enact a completely-black boot policy

Yes, I know, players have their sponsors and all. So as a trade off, maybe we could list the player's choice of boot on in their bio on Port's website.
