Make sure you take your antibiotics as prescribed. Don't half ass the dosage, the duration or stop the course mid way through even if it's all cleared up.

Major inconvenience transport wise, also presumably going to be very noisy all day long. Said roadworks were not mentioned by agent when lease was signed. They are going to affect at least 3 quarters of the term of the lease (very long term roadworks).

Any grounds for a rent reduction here? Given my (very limited) knowledge of tenancy law I feel it will just be a case of copping it sweet, but would like to know if we have any options at all. Happy with the house apart from this fact.

Well there's no cooling off period with leases in Victoria so I think you'd be copping it sweet I'm afraid. You could always ask for a reduction anyway. Who knows, your landlords may be reasonable. Not sure on the specifics but perhaps the roadworks were already figured in to the rental?

Meh, you have my sympathies- not that long ago whole drainage works was done to our street. No wait, scratch that half the street, of course the half directly in front of our house. Had bobcats, etc n shit around for several months.

And now there is major construction work going on behind our houses (there are no houses behind us) trucks n shit 7am-5pm+ everyday, plus Saturdays. Hasnt been that bad lately, but there have been occasions when the walls were shaking. Fun times.

Having problems setting up email accounts, worked fine for a long time on 1 computer but wanted to access the email on multiple devices. Question is, the outgoing server is my ISP (mail.iinet.net.au) yet the email has nothing to do with them, wtf is that all about?

Its hosted through crazydomains which is my first real mistake as they are shite but it's not possible to change at this point.
