The whole console v console and PC v console debate is soooo ******* boring. It's games at the end of the day, if you are having fun playing your '92 Gameboy or your $10,000 PC it doesn't really matter what other people are having fun doing. Nerds need to get over themselves.

I just buy them all and hardly ever play them. Pisses the gamer nerds off something fierce.

The beta isn't a massive change from the final game.. the general consensus from testers is that it's very standard mmo and not so much an elder scrolls game.

As someone on the PTS (yeah I'm breaking NDA, who cares) I can say that it most definitely is pretty much standard MMO fare. It'll actually throw some people off who aren't used to a non quest hub MMO experience. For me there's a lot of empty time spent running around hoping to find a quest that'll get you up to where you need to be for the next area. I hate PVE as it is, so I'm a bit biased, but I can imagine there'll be a lot of people used to WoWs style of questing who won't enjoy running around not knowing where they're suppose to go next for their quest fix.

One thing that repeats itself constantly in the game is that you'll run into a village which will have a single quest chain dedicated to it. You'll finish that quest in an hour maximum and then run around looking for the next village to save.

The redeeming feature of TESO for me will be the PvP, which is headed by Matt Frior who had a major hand in the best RvR experience in an MMO; DAoC.

I would say avoid TESO if you're only interested in PVE. The story just isn't that compelling.

I remember being excited when I saw the trailer showing glimpses of combat/gameplay because it looked like morrowind with better mechanics. Shame about the rest of it though.

I just found 3 chicken nuggets under my couch cushion, and it all came rushing back. They were meant to be my breakfast

at least you have plenty of sauce.

Yeah, it is a weak PvE-MMO experience and a weak TES experience. It really doesn't do either well. It feels like an indie attempt at a TES game. If I could sum up TESO's PvE/story experience I would say it doesn't have any 'soul'. It just feels empty.

What it will be is a bloody good PvP experience, which is why I'll be playing it. The last time I enjoyed PvP was in WAR (RIP ironclaw QQ).

WAR.. forgot that whole thing existed (along with the other 400 "WoW killers")

Will it be subscription based? I don't have the time to play enough to feel like it would be worth spending x amount every month on it. If not i would considering buying it.

Yeah, roughly $15 a month. It really should have been B2P.

Ergh.. I'll wait for the inevitible Old Republic-free-to-play switch after a year.

Speaking of the B2P model, you got a clue how GW2 is fairing?

Old republic is already F2p, has been for ages.

Founder Member :(

Just re read and you are saying the next thing will be f2p like SWTOR.

I'm also a LOTRO life member :( Geek life.

I don't know how they can move from standard MMO. Even in real life, tank, damage, healer is a reality. SWTOR tried with storyline but that killed the sandbox element which makes the best MMO's. They need the immersion of SWG with the gameplay of WOW.
I'm waiting to see what Disney does with Star Wars before I completely give up on MMO's.

the stories in swtor were awsome...

But I hated the sandbox element and the classes sucked a bit as they were too simular

It just doesn't add up with TES. Fanbase dividing game, this one.
