Did anyone happen to see Brenton Sanderson on Footy Classified just then speaking at their season launch? Hahahahahaha. What an idiot. Cringeworthy!

I have seen a grab, but not on FC - was it the part about "do you see where I am going with this" - or words to that effect?

Childish, clueless and desperate - I didn't imagine that coaches would rely on omens - that is the domain of us loony supporters.

That's the one. Just terrible, terrible stuff. I loved his pause after the "97-98 heatwave" omen comment before saying "that's a fact". As if the fact there was a heatwave that summer, the years the crows one flags, and another one this summer, adds validity to his omen claim. What a boob.

Was this year considered a heat wave? Apart from the week after new years when there was a couple of atrocious days between 40-44 degrees, I didn't think we had a particularly harsh summer.

Any rate **** Sando and **** the crows. Would love to see us fly past them this year and see the Adelaide media squirm.

You're right, there was no heatwave this summer. In 2009 we had 6 consecutive days over 40, and in 2008 we had 15 consecutive days over 35 including 11 straight over 38. They were heatwaves. No idea what Samderson's on about tbh.

2008 and 2009 dont count cause of the clause in Tippet's contract.

I think the perception we are fed is that it was hot because it was hot in Sydney, therefore the whole country is going through a heat wave. Also, do you notice, Adelaide and Perth can have proper hot days and the media doesn't bat an eyelid, but when they have 3 day over 35 degrees in Melbourne or Sydney it's headline news?

This is exactly what happens. Perth and Adelaide are the only two Australian cities that really get heatwaves if you go by the actual Australian definition of what constitutes a heatwave (5 or more consecutive days over 35).

Melbourne did actually have an unprecedentedly hot summer with average temps 4-5 degrees above average. Adelaide on the other hand was only about 1 degree above average, which is pretty normal.

Well then, using intelligent Sando logic - who is due to win the flag from the Melbourne clubs?

My power bill disagrees with you sir :(

I find it very hard on my eyes when people insist to use this teal text color, can you all stop using it in any posts or signatures!!

If you genuinely want to cut power bills do as I do and turn off all power points when you leave the house. Televisions and dvd players left on stand-by, modems left running during the day, mobile phone chargers etc all use up a shit tonne of power.
