I was at uni the other day and I saw this bloke around my age wearing a cricket australia polo.

But when he came closer to me I realised it was actually a Mannum Roos shirt.

His name's Rory. You know him?

So, I'm sitting here doing my math assignment online. I finish it and it gets instantly graded. 19/20! I checked my answers to see what I got wrong. The two solutions to the problem were 3 and 0. but apparently the website that does it says the solutions were 3 and -0 (that's negative zero?) so I got it wrong.

Oh well. Happy with 19

It reminded me of something that happened the other day. Went to a newsagent, and purchased two items. One cost $27.15 and the other $5.30. The person who served me would have been in the high teens or early 20s. She couldn't do the calculations in her head, so she went for the calculator. Batteries were flat, so the next choice was her iPhone. That will be 32 dollars and 45 cents please.

It's not the first time something like this has happened to me. It does seem like basic arithmetic skills are on the decline.

Don't blame her, getting monetary transactions incorrect can be catastrophic for your job prospects at your current employer.

Shrug your shoulders and say "whatever". By being incredibly embarrassed and hiding and not celebrating a win, you're just drawing further attention to the incident.
