I got asked for an interview and told them "no thanks", after I assessed their wages and roles. Same goes with a few of the Big 4 accounting firms.

Completing my masters first.

Masters? So you don't have your Doctorate of Feel yet?

A pre career masters is like wearing a condom to wank.

An in career PhD is akin to paying somebody else to wank.

Doing a masters means you weren't good enough to get into a PhD, Piled Higher and Deeper. ;)

I'm a fan of 5th year of careers masters, you've done the job long enough to know where you'd like to do some deeper reading. Doing it straight after a bachelors is a bit daft as you are just extending the same basic thing.

A bit different in my case. My degree is IT, but the masters is in business. It's specifically targetted at IT Business Analyst roles.

Could always do an MBA which appears to be a must have for the upwardly mobile these days. Mediocre But Arrogant.

Ah well...at least you aren't an engineer, designing squares to think outside of, and skyhooks and such

Oh...I suppose. I was thinking outside the square. Are you an engineer Wharfie?
I consider myself more a hacker although I can do a pretty convincing engineer impression. ;)

Ah..we have something in common then...oh you mean engineer impressions as in software don't you? So if I start talking in microfarads or dual phase or microns or the advantages of 'blueing' a motor....I will impress you?

that would be an Electronics Engineer ;)

Microfarads I can do because I came to software via electronics. When it comes to microns I have experience in both wool and cotton. ;)

Is blueing a motor the same as blueprinting? o_O

Nano or pico sounds better than micro....you can always talk about dynamic breaking thats impressive...

Ah yes...soldering capacitors onto circuit boards. Microns..no I was thinking more precision metal engineering, blueing a motor...it had more to do with a blue die they used to use to check things like valve seating. An A-Grade Master Automotive Engineer taught me that 30 years ago

Ah, now thats a fail Wino. It's not what sounds better...its what you know a bit about, that makes you sound impressive enough to pass off as an engineer. I can state for instance that in a particular situation a metal item needs 8-10 microns of zinc chromate plating to pass certain standards. A certain generator may need a capacitor of 10,000 uf to start it, and incessantly rant for hours without knowing anymore than a first day apprentice, but enough to bewilder a layman

But the term micro is known to the majority... but picofarad.....now thats impressive....I would have been in awe of your greatness...

There is a girl on my bus in the mornings that looks like Sasha Gray. It really shouldn't be thinking about those sorts of things when riding public transport.

Would be enough to put my interpeak multitrip in backwards.
