Mrs GR said to me yesterday that our wedding anniversary is coming up a week on Friday. I corrected her and said it is in fact Saturday week and I am hoping that I won't be there. Said that I would send her flowers.

Finally flu-free! So I go for my first run in about a month. Took it pretty easy. But still overtook some slow coach ahead of me.

WTF? Whatever. Anyway, twenty metres later I trip over a crack in the footpath, stack it and pancake face-first. Bloodied, I spring up and take off coz I know that arseh*le inching towards me is laughing.

Perfect start to this campaigner of a day that is only going to get even campaignier...

That clip is so true and cruel. I don't actually know if it was a Linden tree we walked under in the Botanic Gardens recently but if not it was one with the same effect. I couldn't say anything to the people we were with, the odds of me being able to explain it well and make them laugh were far outweighed by those of coming off as a socially inept jerk.

Many years ago I lived in a 2nd story apartment in Norwood and outside my bedroom balcony was what came to be known as "The Cum Tree". It permeated the entire apartment and smelt as if I had several 15yo boys living in the spare room.

There are ways...."Ah...smell that? The unmistakable aroma of the copulation box in full bloom" Then you wait for your social peers to comment, and going by their results of trying to be socially adept...you continue with "it is a familiar smell for some reason", putting the ball in their court

'Jaws' is one of the best movies ever made but I feel it was somewhat let down by the special effects of the day and the shitness of the mechanical shark called Bruce.
Generally speaking I'm not a huge fan of remakes of classic films but I'd love to see a remake of 'Jaws' with modern day special effects.
