I'm considering running for the senate next federal election on some minority issue that enough ratbags would go to war over to get about 0.75% of the vote, which if preferences fall the right way would get me in.
Six years of nuisance value, then the rest of my life on that sweet pension.

Just need to pick the right issue.
So far my thinking is one of the following:

Bring back the death penalty
Death Penalty for Drug Dealers
Decriminalise Drugs
No Taxes
Higher taxes for the rich
Ban anything fun
Libertine Party
Ban Bikes From Our Roads
Ban Trucks From Our Roads
Ban Cars from Our Roads
Send Everyone Back Where They Came From
More Rights for White Male Australians
More Law and Order
**** the Police
Ban the Internet

would appreciate feedback on which of the above would likely gain the most traction - or any other suggestions (Sex Party already taken apparently)

Liberal Democrat. Bloke is an extremist libertarian. Chose the party name deliberately to get a variety of "donkey" vote from the unsuspecting

It's pretty good but I've never cracked up or anything watching Seinfeld. Mildly funny, very quotable show and very consistent though.
