Just finished The Last of Us.

What the ****? And people complain about the ending to Mass Effect?
I liked the ending.

It was pretty much Joel going "**** you, got mine"
He was never a "good guy" was always wading in to other communities and just murdering everyone.

Please no sequel, unless it involves grown up Ellie going all Lara Croft.

What a great country we live in when the lead news story for 5 minutes on every TV news bulletin around the country is the death of a race horse trainer.

What other country would that happen in? New Zealand ? Maybe Ireland?

I was with you until "Please no sequel".

What an arse.

I agree, no sequel, unless it involved Ellie going all Lara Croft, and by that mean, hotpants and a tiny tank top barely holding in a big rack.

Seriously though, what a giant **** you to everyone. I wanted to put the controller down when I seen what was going to happen and not play any further.

lol how do you get that out of it?!

You spend the whole game following characters on a mission in a story, only for one of those characters to think "nah **** it" and completely disregard everything you had been fighting for up til that point for selfish reasons.

And that's bad how? It's extraordinary. Very real, and emotionally and morally complex in a way that you rarely if ever see in a video game.

Yeah but who couldn't see that character development coming, especially given the scene with his daughter.

Just give me more ammo. That's all I ask.

Kinda funny though, Last of Us forces you to murder a few defenseless doctors in order to progress the story, and there were absolutely zero ****s given.

But a GTA game slips a nip...

It isn't bad, it's very powerful story telling. It's great. It's good that it angers me such, and not in the Mass Effect way, but in a very deliberately written ending way. It's just not what I would've done, and I think that's the thing. So far in gaming, there are 2 kinds of stories:

You play a character that does nice people things.
You play a character and make you own adventure and choose your path.

This is maybe the first time I can remember being so wound up about a linear storyline in a game. It made us question it and look a little deeper.

For a game that preached realism, it was amazing how many enemies with guns who were shooting at me when I killed them, who didn't drop ammo. Were all these guys on their last bullet when I killed them? What are the chances!

I have seen it already and I must say that was when I lost all hope in Adam ever regaining his prior form and delisted all of his future movies from my viewing experience.

I liked click

That's My Boy was a wildly underrated return to form. I'm serious.
