Looks like the Karlie and Khandalyce Pearce-Stevenson murders and the social security fraud that has been discovered has similarities to the John Bunting Bodies in the Barrel murders where people within the group were killed for their social security payments. **** $100,000 accessed over about 6 years and up until earlier this year and someone went into the bank and Centrelink impersonating Karlie in 2010 so as to get access to the monies. Sickening.
Familiar isn't it , it's ridiculous how easy it is to fluff centrelink something has to change there.

Baha WHO telling us processed meat causes cancer. 18% more chance of getting bowel cancer. So processed meat joins alcohol, cigarettes and asbestos as definitely carcinogenic but cigarettes increases you chance to get cancer by 50 times whereas processed meat is 18%. But they tell us its about the volume you eat. Think I wont bother about this warning too much.

The only effect this little viral news phenomenon has had on me is to make me really crave a good steak.

I always thought it was a myth.

No, I think there was some sort of monastery near Houghton, but I heard it burnt down in a bushfire. I haven't lived in the area since about 1980 but my parents still do. Pigman Track was another myth/non myth depending on who you spoke to

The old Newmans Nursery?
I tend to walk into the park a bit further up & take the boundary walk, then shoot up the hill via the ridge top or the wildflower trail, sometimes come back down torture hill track and past the nursery ruins but coming down the other side & grabbing a beer at the gully ain't a bad detour either.

I have no idea what the boundary walk, wildflower trail or torture hill is. We used to pick blackberries, find huge quartz crystals and run through the old gold mine...which was a tunnel that went through a hillock. Of course that was back in the '70's

I guess they were just trails way back then without signs everywhere? the only myths I've heard is satanists having bonfires at the nursery ruins lol

Was the tunnel up past the water tanks? there is something blocked off going into the hill up there

I can't remember exactly where the tunnel was, but I think it was closer to the actual Gully than Ansteys Hill. It was long and in the middle you couldn't see the light from either end. Bit like being a Port supporter 2011-12 :p We used to run through screaming with cob-webs on our face because..vampires. I would gather it is probably filled in now

So I just watched the blu-ray version of return of the Jedi, and was appalled to see that they replaced Sebastian Shaw with Hayden Christensen as the ghost of darth vader.

I know this is old news, but I've only just learned of this. Awful.

Some mates & I found an underground tank up that way 25+ years ago that looked like satanists used it, but it was all cartoony satan stuff. Told some people who told some people, nek minnit Assemblies of God are up there. Film crew etc, ended up on some current affairs show at the time.

Thanks for showing that Jimmy. I don't remember ghost stories from there. Definitely looks different, it was all covered in blackberries back then, I do remember tiny apples struggling on an old apple tree and little roses from a hundred years of harsh SA climate

Guess it was. Hadn't thought about it much for a while til I read just previous. Had a metal ladder leading into it, graffiti of sigils etc. an altar maybe, could of been a stone seat? Smelt of incense. Had a older mate who lived near it who said it looked like it was used by dudes using witchcraft/satan as a ruse to get sex from vulnerable chicks. Made sense at the time.

lol see this is probably where the myth I heard got it's legs from

The only thing i've ever seen haunting Anstey at night are teenagers getting pissed around bonfires usually at the old quarry ruin.
