And also Shulzenfest chooses to change his avatar rarely, very rarely. When he does i think hes a newbie and im about to go him. So mods.....our regulars need to wan us about avatar changes. Having said that im partaking in a beer thats sworn to secrecey. The grains are mashed from a wild feild in yokoslavinian, and it ferments and matures well. Its a beer god, the yeast i'll use again from the trub.

I understand why there needs to be a HR division in large companies to look after staffing levels and movement etc, but interviewing should really, really be done by people who will actually manage the staff member they are hiring where possible.

Job applications and interviews are the biggest load of crap around.


I must have spent half my time in high school being taught how to write resumes , job letters etc and how to interview well. Then I go out into the world and my experience tells me it isn't worth shit.

Nothing has ever come from doing that shit for me. I realised pretty quickly that in most of the interviews the interviewers hadn't been taught the same shit I had. They cared nothing for any of the things that I was doing right. This was some chore they detested doing and will make their mind up about you before you open your mouth. And most of the time judging people like that isn't gonna work.

Every job I've gotten has been word of mouth , and every time a place I've worked at has lost a great worker they then interview and hire a guy who turns out to be a no good lazy shit who does sfa and burdens everyone else with his work share. And I can't for the life of me figure out how they can spend ten minutes with this person and give them a job.

Not to mention when my gf came out of uni. What a joke that was. Most of the graduate jobs wanted a degree and years of experience. That's not what a graduate job is ffs. We actually knew that in some cases the jobs went unfilled for 12 months or longer while these places tried to find a 'graduate' with years of experience and the work colleagues in those departments had to carry the burden of Extra work becuase the company wasn't filling the vacated position.


So in short. Screw resumes. Screw dressing well and speaking well. Just know the right people. The other stuff is worth shit all.
