Neat. Not "sing along in the shower and make a racket" enough as far as RATM goes for mine tho.

I just love the lyrics. "You force your culture down my throat, then wonder why when upon it I choke..."

If you want a song that epitomises the struggle of the black brotherhood against the greed and exploitation of white integration, you won't find a better one. Zach de la Rocha has a lot of justifiable rage IMO.

He's not that bad
It's not intended to be a major criticism. Squillions of actors/actresses make careers playing fundamentally the same role in each film and no-one has a problem. The issue comes about when they try to extend themselves and it doesn't work. Or they just make too many dud films.

Zach de la Rocha is a badass.

He's had some pretty high highs. Rocky is a truly great and original film and he even wrote it. Rambo not too bad either. But he damaged both with sequels, Rocky especially although some were OKish.
Trouble is it appears he has a John Candy type tendency to make anything that he is offered. And he has the acting range of Calculon.

Stallone buys in to himself when the going is good, and makes the going bad. The amount of good roles he has turned down... he could have been the biggest ever.

He is also criticised for his b-grade action roles, but if he wants to play the action hero, that shouldn't tarnish his legacy as a great actor, just because he doesn't want to be doing drama every film.

All the Rocky films except perhaps 4 have some degree of credibility, likewise the first and last Rambo films. His big franchises are striking over 50%.

Just seen Creed.

Really good, very easy to recommend to anyone who likes a sports drama. Stallone acts the shit out of it, guy is unfairly maligned.

I wonder how much Everton paid for all the product placement?

I just came on to comment on how good it was too....

Star wars next week....i am banning myself from the internet when it drops until i see it....I have gold class booked next sunday...

I kinda prefer Audioslave over RATM.

The groovy jams are still there, but with a singer with a ripping set of pipes.

Ha...just seen on the net an "apparent" confession from kubrick admitting he filmed the moon landings and they were fake....

Well I'll be...
Looks like Buzz is gonna have to beat another bitch.

I think you should get the Booby prize for coming in first place not last.

Zach de la Rocha is a badass.

Here's some trivia for you. Zach de la Rocha many years ago was involved in the California hardcore scene. The name Rage Against The Machine was taken from an article his friend Kent McLard had written under the same title in his fanzine 'No Answers'. Originally 'Rage Against The Machine' was going to be the album title for Zach's previous band 'Inside Out' on Kent's Ebullition Records label. Inside Out broke up and the album was never released, but de la Rocha took the title to his next band.

Inside Out

Also, his band before Inside Out called Hardstance.

My doctor mate reckons in his time so far Meth has been the biggest issue followed by prescription drugs and pot.

Though he mentioned that he felt alcohol is "just as destructive, just over a longer period of time."

I'm still having nightmares over the last story you got told by your Dr mate.

I found a better one.

"The revolution will not be televised" by Gil Scott-Heron.

I love RATM but nothing they have done matches that song.

Haha every time we go bush for a camping trip he tells his gruesome medical stories around the campfire. It's great.

Like the one where a dude came in to the clinic with a pectoral the size of a basketball.

Turned out it was blood and he died shortly after as some other doctor who was tending to him thought it was an infection.

Still don't think we have a problem? Statistics sourced from UNODC in collaboration with the government.

Which one of those graphs shows a problem?

The top graphic shows that the only one we lead the world in is MDMA - one of the good guys - and the bottom graphic shows that relative to most other countries we lean more toward treating drugs as a health issue rather than a criminal issue.
