But Jackson actually pushed shit uphill to create and make it with a lot of those movies, you can feel it. The current fad is manufactured plastic garbage with no heart being pumped out by suits in the studios.

I'm learning. I'm pretty comfortable driving around town at that at the moment. It's a work in progress. I had nobody able to teach me to drive when I was of that age when most people get theirs. Shit happens. It wasn't a choice. It didn't dour my love for cars.

Think about this, how many people in Australia have an encyclopedic knowledge of guns? They'll never own anything outside of a bolt action rifle/shotgun and never be able to use one at their convenience unless they want to move to Trumpland. Now, that is bizarre.

Question, on the headlight covers I removed, they are genuine Holden made the unique twin headlight front of the Premier, when I was removing them, the holes they were screwed in to looked home made. Like they weren't their originally.

Is that how things worked back then? You brought an accessory and just had to go home and drill some holes in your car to use it?

Also my grand dad who passed last year founded the local vintage car club in the 50s. He was quite a prolific collector and restorer in his day before he went a bit crazy. It's in the blood.

How else would you fit them? Don't suit older cars. I wouldn't have them. Circa the era, they did have the wire mesh style protectors, I think the plastic ones would have come out in the 80's

ok so with my frustration>anger>denial>full melt mode..I remember reading people saying the sun will rise, so today ANZAC day I rise to honour and remember ..sun comes up I'm once again optimistic , decide to put out on the curb boxes of my late parents stuff..40+ years of CD's/DVD's/Records/Tapes, some DVD players and books, come back inside a little deflated from memories but hoped someone could find some use in freebies.

Gazing out the window at the stuff started to think about our season efforts, thought back to Hartlett and THAT hat, looked at the hat rack of Port caps..2 1997 Port caps glaring back, so to exorcise demons I put out my late fathers and my '97 cap for donation...later heard some voices and car doors, a guy loading the boxes into the car, he wasn't young nor old.

Heard the car start and drive off..then a police siren chirp, thought to myself shit they think he has done a burglary, go outside and see they are doing breatho to catch ANZAC revelers , look and see boxes of books still on the curb, s****** to myself being referred as illiterate bogans from haters of us..bugger me those bloody hats are still there, thought we are that on the nose even freebie scabs won't take them, trudge back inside....lost, go and make a drink.

Once again car door...wtf same scab er guy, he takes the boxes..I'm shocked, debated whether to go outside and maybe speak and thank and wish him luck.. finally go outside and all I see is him driving off.. sun shining glaringly off his back window, heck me..2 1997 Port caps on the back speaker/parcel shelf and what do I see............a 97/98 faded Camry's premiers sticker.

Starting to think that guy that gave Hammer the cap and today's guy is some kind of 'Cross Roads' plant...now all I'll be left with is paranoia ...should of burnt those hats, anyone know how to contact Ralph Macchio..Karate kid or guitar gunslinger mode preferred ...........Edgie?
