Even as I'm watching GoT and Sillicon Valley, I always think of the Sopranos

I'm glad it's not just me predicting the wrong theme subconsciously

I still have the Oz theme in my head following the HBO static from almost 15 years ago. Binge watched that show twice since and that stuff sticks.

Popped down to my old Dick Smith store today as it's the final store to close in SA at COB today. Caught up with old workmates, they've been through hell. I didn't expect it to affect me as much as it did, but seeing the store completely gutted (the tills went at 3pm today) and all of them looking so drained was really not an experience I care to see again. Great to go out for a meal and reminisce of all the great times we had though. That store had a fantastic crew, but gee only about 50% have landed on their feet. The store was particularly dear to me because I ran it for going on three years. Couldn't have asked for a more fantastic, engaged, energetic and friendly group.

Correct - Elizabeth. I was a manager there from mid 2011 to late 2014 before I left at the completion of my degree.

Believe me, none of us did. We basically used them as a big stock storage facility as we turned over twice as much as them.

Many staff knew it was coming years ago. I called it the minute anchorage took over years ago and the stock stopped rolling in and they slashed staffing budgets to about half. I still remember the conversation with another manager saying "This feels an awful lot like a prelude to administration."
