Iceland for Euro 2016
If they win they will beat England, France, Germany and Wales to do it, would be an extraordinary achievement....the greatest upset in sports history. Wales winning would be so as well.

Footballer sent off by ref for farting
A SWEDISH footballer was in a stink after being sent off by a referee for a burst of flatulence

“I had a bad stomach, so I simply let go,”
“Then I received two yellow cards and then red. Yes, I was shocked, it’s the strangest thing I have ever experienced in football.
“I asked the referee, ‘What, am I not allowed to break wind a little?’ ‘No,’ he replied … I don’t get it but maybe he thought I farted in my hand and threw the fart at him. But I did not.”

Leicester, Cleveland and Iceland.

Couldn't happen could it?

I seem to remember a conversation in here universally condemning work related buzzwords and the use of Butchers paper for workshops and brainstorming.

I regretfully inform you that a recent 'initiative' from the higher powers at work has seen Butchers paper stuck up on the windows with headings such as "What is good communication to you?" and "What can we do better?" and they have asked people to write things up on them as they come to mind over the next few weeks.

I died.

Was that Rick's parting gift or the new incumbent installing their brand on the organisation?

Chiwigi to paraphrase a Neil Young song, this tweet's for you.

My uncle moved to Wales many decades ago. He told me a story that he was walking down the street where 2 women were speaking in English. As he approached them they changed to Welsh.

My uncle then took up the conversation with them.

It takes commitment and dedication to say "poo".

Anyone and everyone says shit, but to say poo, you have to be rock solid in your conviction.

My (nearly) 3yo Granddaughter is totally committed and dedicated then. She just asked me to help her on the toilet as she needed "to do a poo". The next comment was "did you hear it plop".

I was in tears.

Must have missed the GoT discussion if there was any.

Whooweee what an episode that was! No baps or wang needed.

All I've ever wanted from this show was to see Tyrion riding a dragon with a sword in his hand. We are so close.

**** me the disparity between Adelaide and Sydney is massive.

This is what you get for 1.5 mil in Sydney.

Ive moved in 2 minutes walk from the Olymic Stadium in London and all tge locals are telling me I have to be a West Ham supporter :unamused:

Tell them you're a Millwall fan, that'll endear you.

i teared up when it became evident Ramsay's shit came unstuck, right after the giant died. All those unspeakable acts, and he was finally brought to justice. Particularly after the gruelling trampling and near asphyxiation of Jon Snow minutes earlier... That made my gut turn, particularly after the amount of stuff that came out about Hillsborough the other month..

the squishy sounds that were made while Jon was punching his face into oblivion were a symphony to my ears

I felt heaps bad for the giant dude though, he was badass

"in this country, supermarkets are cathedrals"

I might be enjoying re-watching The Wire more than my first run of it..

Seriously don't know how anything will ever top that as the G.O.A.T. I'm forever lost for words when trying to describe season four

Its weird coz on my first watch I always thought that s4 was the second worst season but it seems the internet thinks otherwise. I mean, it's a hard show to rank seasons for (other then season 5 being the clear worst) but I can't remember 4 making that much of an impression on me. I'll be more attentive this time but for me it was 1=3 > 2 > 4 > 5. 2 is underrated.

The issue with 2 is that it is very USA orientated, your typical foreigner would not enjoy the allusions as much. The other series are pretty universal or well publicised issues.

Definitely agreed two is underrated, the Sobotkas were great. Season four to me is the crux of the show - no matter how hard you try to fix the system, the people with real power don't want it fixed.
When it comes to characters on a personal level, the kids, Carcetti, Bubbles - it all comes full circle and only the lucky ones get out (Namond). Dukie and Randy's arcs were heartbreaking.

Is industry and the falling power (relevance?) of unions and continual loss of manual labour jobs not pretty universal?
