I went for a drive a couple of weeks ago.

The trees have been dead longer than they were alive, even when the system was healthy.

Somewhere there. Was I think back around '93 after Nyngan got flooded. May have been past Cockburn. I have probably driven from here to Adelaide through Broken Hill about 20 times, in the last 30 years, but that was the only time I saw water in any of that saltbush country

Been stuck in floods to the east, north, and south of town, but never the west. Mate and I used to go chasing them. Managed to find some black swans having a dip by Little Topar. We then had a beer. The barman had a coopers shandy with us. I thought that was odd at the time.
