Did the old guy across the road come looking for a TV again?

Lol, no, but his wife came looking for the piece of shit 27cm portable TV. This was after she dumped her own piece of shit 27cm portable TV into my skip bin.

F@%k paying an e-waste fee for those campaigners. So I took it out. But they're gonna get a sweet going away present when I leave. It'll be their piece of shit 27cm portable TV. And what a dazzling feature that'll be in their pebbled front garden.

But really, she came for the vacuum cleaner. She's dead nuts on the vacuum cleaner. Barged in, just like her grubby husband, pointed at the Hoover Freedom, powered by Airvolution, and barked: "I want that vacuum cleaner! "

Bitch, you ain't getting the vacuum cleaner.

Ever.

Such lovely neighbours. I can't imagine why you'd want to move.

Haha! Oh, man, the other day she charged in and berated me for giving a nest of tables to the Salvos. A crappy nest of three tables you buy at Copperart or some shit. So, I'm sitting there, catching up on BigFooty shitposting, and she's going off:

"You promised me those tables! You said I could I have it! And then you give it to the povvos!"

Then I snapped:

"THEY'RE NOT YOUR F@%KING TABLES! THEY'RE NOT EVEN MINE!! F@%K!!!"

The next day, she visited Mum at the nursing home and dobbed me in, lol. Chuck in the typical family hijinks and the last two weeks have been absolutely batshit insane. Apocalyptic arseholes...

Your life is like a more intense, Northern Suburbs version of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

It must be a northern suburbs thing, I've had heaps of skips (we had lots of shit accumulate over 18 years) and never had people scab or even put stuff in.

You've never lived in Mawson Lakes then (technically northern suburbs I guess).
The skip thing is definitely a British thing, maybe the Pommieness seeps through,

Klay Thompson with 60 points in 3 qtrs today in the NBA. GSW sat him down for the last qtr. Could've had 80 if he played all 4 qtrs.

They are incredibly good at injury management from what I hear.

Saw a talk by a guy who works at Catapult last year, those are the gps devices that players wear on their back between their shoulders. He was a salesman for sure, but he was talking about how basketball teams can massively mitigate the risk of soft tissue injuries by measuring player fatigue, stride length etc. which can be calculated using the device.

It is actually really, really cool, and the devices are made in Australia which is even cooler for mine.

They also knew that they play 5 times in the next week which is probably why they benched for that last qtr, but yes they manage player fatigue very well in the NBA.
They kind of have to though with a small roster of players and an 82 match season.

I was thinking the very same thing, government ****s off AGL etc... build power stations and make each household pay a flat quarterly rate surely in the decades it would make much more money than the initial investment and can closely control the prices but that'll never happen, too many hands in the energy wholesale pie.

Am i for or against a nuclear dump? yes and no, yes because it could be a massive economical boon for the state that atm is flatlining but as people say, and no because it's a 100,000 year commitment, there have been gains in vitrification, turning all liquid nuke waste into glass which while still radioactive, it will be stable for many more years than storing it steel drums would be. There are even plans for reprocessing waste so what can be resued will be and the half life of what can be used will be less than 100 years.

Do the risks outweigh the rewards?

I am with you on this, rolling in $$$ on a dump would be good quick fix to the states economy. With 50% of the profits from this possible venture should be spent R&D to find away re-use the spent waste. Once we have the Patented technology to re-use this waste, it would make more money than storing it. So perhaps the risks may not out way the rewards. My only question for the dump is, how will the waste be transported to the dump with out the possible risk of having someone crash into one of these vehicles should it be traveling by road?

I can see that we go all out to make the dump fail safe, but not think about how it gets there. I can only see a dedicated road for these vehicles only to make this fail safe, or am i being over the top?

Uranium, its a great mineral however it is very destructive and at the same time economical.

However its not just this you have to think about with regards to re using the waste and making money from it as well as building Nuclear Power Station is that it doesn't help with the carbon footprint. That's if we are to believe that there is global warming, which i believe there is.

Although we have to manufacture products to create a power station and batteries plus solar panels, which only adds to carbon footprint, but which one will create less carbon to achieve the results we want, and that is free lower costs to the electricity bill?

We have to think outside the box to kick start our economy again, my suggestion is one and another is for our state to become another launching pad for NASA for the MARS project, lease the land to them at a real cheap rate. There was a rumbling a little while ago but that has gone quiet. Not sure if we are we launching satellites for countries?

Calling Zakk Wylde How easy is it to replace a cricket bat grip? My Gray Nicolls Omega grip is knackered and needs replacing.

You'd seem the bloke that knows. :D
