Just about anytime I see a film from the 60's/70's from action to suspense, thriller, horror etc. I tend to really like something about the soundtracks even if the movie stinks.

*Even some of the hokey jazz in 1950's films can be moody n' weird.. we've lost something somewhere

To be honest pretty much all mainstream rock bands were considered a bit of a joke back in the 1980's. If you really wanted to rock out you were going along weekly to watch bands like Bored, not AC/DC.

Back In Black wasn't that great anyway. Shoot To Thrill is pretty good, not sure the rest of it warrants the legend status it gets. You Shook Me All Night Long is just top 40 pop really.

Hell's Bells was a quality, darker turn after losing Bon. The rest of it, I don't know? Probably a bit meh to me as it was all overplayed throughout my upbringing.

So true. I reacted against the culture around the music more than the music though; Cold Chisel fans did more damage to Cold Chisel's reputation than any hijinx that Jimmy got up to.
