For a suburban pub though the Gully is a pleasant place for a weeknight beer.

Places you see 'themed' pubs. I got off a tour bus in Vienna back in the 90s and was greeted by an Australian (not Austrian) pub. Had to go in to check it out. Was a classic. Even had vegemite on toast on the menu. As well as 'crocodile'.... which I think was just chicken.

Oh and Fosters of course.

I've just come back actually, why are you so defensive over this pub? It labels itself a British pub, I literally grew up in British pubs (mum was a barmaid and occasionaly a landlady (so we lived in the pub)) so commented on its lack of authenticity. I didn't once mention how shit the yorkshire pudding was! (and is).
