GEELONG rookie George Burbury has emerged as one to watch for Dream Team players after an impressive performance in the Cats' NAB Challenge loss to Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium last weekend.

The 18-year-old Tasmanian impressed both teammates and coaches alike with his effort against the Power, and his chances of being promoted to the senior list during the season have improved as a result.

so what do you guys think ?

Bit optimistic to think he's a chance for senior footy this year, but I like the pick. Something a bit different - competitor (and winner) at a high level, albeit in a different sport, but clearly can play the game.

i agree but he is one to look out for in the future :thumbsu:

He and GHS show that Wells has the gumption to draft outside the box. With the side success giving him so many late picks its probably been forced on him but the recent influx of talent from other sports has shown it can provide an alternative to the traditional. For mine , I'd prefer this than giving games to Irish kids.

Is this kid up to it? Not sure but he will get every chance playing and growing in our system to show his worth.

I'm very interested in these two in that they were both elite in their previous sports.
Both outstanding with a handful of Aussie rules footy games, we may have a couple of naturals on our hands.
Being Tasmanian is a plus for me to begin with.
All the best George. He's good looking as well.
