Did you select Sydney over Melbourne aswell. Because i have it as if Syd win one more it puts them on 56.

We basically need Sydney and Port to lose both, while winning both ourselves.
I tipped Syd today yeh.

I'm not saying that is what I am selecting above, just one scenario that would need to occur. Improbable and unlikely.....but not impossible.

The ladder you posted had Syd and Melb on 21 games so don’t think that counted. If Sydney win one more they are safe. Another possibility is if Melbourne drop both there games against Eagles and GWS we can jump them by winning both our games aswell.

Are we beating Adelaide in Adelaide after we fell over the line in Brisbane last week and embarrassed ourselves today ?

Probably not considering we haven’t beat them there in over a decade like GR said. But if we can and other results go our way we can still make it.

Highly unlikely. But you know....we are frustrating to watch. So anything is possible.

However when do we win in Adelaide? Can't remember the last time.

Melbourne are a huge possibility of losing their last 2 as well.

Yep there are still quite a few ways we can get in but no matter what other teams results are we must win both our own now. Can finish as high as 7th or as low as 12th.

The thing is that all the other games will have been played by the time we play Adelaide.

If we are still 'alive' it gives the team (and coach) a chance to redeem today's second half effort.

All of Melbourne, Port and Sydney could easily lose both their final 2 games - as I said we will know where we stand before we play Adelaide so it may well be in our hands again.

Can understand the frustration and negativity here but put our season into perspective. We were pencilled in for the spoon and should be very proud of how far we’ve come . Losing today shows we still a bit of a way off but gees we’ve come along way this year and the future looks bright

We were granted three chances to secure our finals spot and failed in all three. Every result went our way and we failed. Nothing is changing here.

Funny thing is we have been good on the road so it wouldn’t surprise me if we beat Adelaide. But gee we were shit today . We don’t deserve to be in the 8 .

Agreed except I have conditions on future looks bright

Who do we trade out?

Who do we trade in?

Only when this is resolved will we see if we can take the next step up

I would caution that by saying much of the improvement this year has come from a career-best year from Higgins, a much better year from Goldy and a much better year from Thompson. And Brown's best ever year. Waite started the year brilliantly. Anderson best ever year. Daw best ever year.
That group ain't gonna improve much and have driven us this year. So where does the bright future come from? I like Dumont and Ahern, yes. Simpkin has shown signs, Wood has shown signs. Turner has battled largely. Luke Mac struggling. Clarke struggling. EVW looked good until injured. Seen little of the youngsters, just a taste of LDU and Walker and Murphy.
But if those players who have starred this year retire, drop off at all and/or get injured then we may find it hard to match this year.
Hopefully we get some good additions to the squad as we need them IMO.
We're not miles off, but we need to get it right from here.

No idea why, but I've got a feeling we'll win our last two and I've got nfi why.

No idea why..??

We will beat the crows next week ..

And we will have to beat St Dwarfs by half a point the week after to make the finals ,..

Be 28 points up in the 3rd ..

And still somehow

F*** IT UP

Forget about it!

Show's over.

Overall though, finals or not - has the year turned out better than people expected?
About where I predicted.

Tipped us for a 10-12 finishing position and that's looking pretty much on the money.
