Yeah the Arsenal run home isn’t overly difficult if they play near their best. Obviously the City game is massive, but I don’t think City win all their other games either. I can’t see them getting run down if they beat City.

Southampton, Forest, Wolves and Chelsea.

There are no gimmes.

Arsenal have lost to Everton and drawn with Southampton, Brentford and West Ham.

City have lost to Brentford and drawn with Forest and Everton.

Clearly the game between City and Arsenal is massive but I can't see either of them getting full points from the other games.

Who would have thought Man United would have lost to Wigan and drawn with Everton at home after being 8 points up with 6 to go in 11/12?

And who would have thought we'd come with seconds of throwing it all away at home to QPR?

Weird time of the year, and I wouldn't take any result for granted, no matter the opposition.

From an Arsenal perspective the hope is City running deep in 3 competitions takes a toll. Obviously their squad is built for this, Arsenal isn’t. The big one for City is the champions league with a huge tie against Real Madrid on the horizon. Perhaps a wobble in their league ma wedged between. Thats my hope anyway.

The West Ham draw leaves very little margin for error now. I would have taken a draw at Newcastle however might need to win that. All of that is perhaps moot though if we get hammered at City. A result there would do just fine as well. Saliba’s fitness is a concern though. Would be great if he and Zinchenko were able to start at The Etihad.

It's not like Arteta but I feel they really need to dig in and go full defensive against City for the draw. Without Saliba they'll be exposed badly at the back on the counter if Arsenal go for it. Just play them on the counter like Brentford did.

Obviously this isn't Artetas normal game. Interesting to see how he approaches the game without Saliba playing.

Arsenal need a much better backup CB than Holding going forward. What happened to the new guy they picked up in Jan? Can't remember his name.

They are ahead of the curve in terms of competing for the title. I'm sure they will address squad deficiencies and depth issues in the summer. If they get things right then they will be competing for the title for a while.

Jakub Kiwior you refer to. Arteta wants specificity in certain positions and he was signed as a left footed centre half to back up Gabriel. He won’t play on the right side in place of Holding - 2 left footed centre halves on the pitch together is not something Arteta would deploy.

The Saliba absence is very costly. Exacerbated by the loss of Tomiyasu for the season. He’s really the 5th defender overall, can slot into any of the full back positions or as a CB. Losing him and Saliba at the same time is very untimely for Arsenal - leaving Holding as the only viable option really.
