Which player will your club take?

ATM in the pool we have:

Dangerfield (I assume even though he won't play, he'll get drafted to a SANFL club).
Lobbe
Otten
Moran
Jacky
Cook
Farmer
Armstrong
Kite
Walker

And that's not including Rookies to come.

Motlop's already tied to North (he is an Under 17s player)

Don’t forget about Moran.

Norwood will be getting 2 recruits at a bargain basement price! Thanks Adelaide. ;)

Hopefully Armstrong ends up at Norwood. That's the only thing that could make Drummond forget that we chose him over McNamara. :p

I heard that the AFC are moving to ban West and Norwood from making a selection in the mini-draft so they don't **** up anymore players.

Whoa hang on there, Kris Massie's never had any problems performing at SANFL and using it to get back to AFL level.

That says more about Massie than about Norwood ;)

Plus Massie is a mature age recruit that was more likely to get a game in the AFL side by putting in a good performance every week.

To an extent but if you want a serious deiscussion instead of cheap shot making lets have a real look at it. Last year the following Crows players were on Norwood's list:

Jercho - Well we all know about Luke and plenty of people here don't even want him on the AFL list still managed the odd game and was an emergency for a lot more

Meesen - Meh well we all know about that one, still got some games later on in the year.

Campbell - Injury plagued season, when finally fit got a game because of his Norwood form and a few people around here felt he should have got more. And was drafted in the first place because of the form he showed at Norwood in 06

Pfeiffer - Well I think now it was bloody obvious that he was never getting a game for the Crows, off field issues but I bet someone here will try and blame that on Norwood.

I think a blanket statement about not letting any players go to Norwood is a bit over the top :)

Actually Punchy that post kind of makes the original point. Of the 3 players you listed there that were on Norwoods list at the start of the year the only one remaining is the one with probably the least natural talent. While I'm sure it's more bad luck than anything that Norwood gets the mental duds it's still good fun to blame them for ruining players and I'm sure it was only done in jest by anyone.

West and especially South will choose big in my opinion. So id expect 2 of Lobbe, Walker, Kite or Otten to go in the top two. I think Norwood would chose someone like Farmer or Dangerfield. Port might go for a left over tall or someone like Jacky/Cook. Will definately chose a forward type in my opinion. Sturt and Glenelg again maybe Dangerfield (if still there) or Armstrong.

If any of the above talls go to South or West, they will have a hard time trying to crack the big time...

How are you meant to perform as a KPP with that rabble?

Being a mids not as bad, because you can still stand out.

I think its a bit of a double edged sword. If a tall went to South, they'd at least get games because they have no other tall forwards. If they went to a top side like North or Centrals as you saw with Griffin, they might not get game time unless they are absolutely burning it week in week out at reserves level.

At least with John Cahill coaching at South, a tall forward will find himself a focal point of the forward structure.
