Are my ears broken?

some guy rang in saying he wants Tom Hafey back as Richmond coach.

woke up suddenly and had the urge to flick sen on around 1am. heard teo and other guy talk about mccarthy. moved onto wayne from geelong. they started talking about bigfooty and how people out there were grieving for wayne. i was kinda hoping they'd mention names of posters here including myself.

Ooooh, how exciting: new ratings out today. :p Overall, SEN is essentially the same, going up 0.1 point to 4.7 on Monday to Fridays, and down 0.1 to 3.7 on weekends. Some slots went up a bit, while 'drive' dropped a little, and Finey slipped 0.8pts.

Breakfast: up to 4.4 from 3.8
KB: up to 5 from 4.8
Harford: up to 4.8 from 4.5
Ox and Marco: down to 5.1 from 5.6
Finey: down to 4.3 from 5.1

I've been mentioned by BF username on SEN before by Finey.

It was the Ross Lyon/Freo night. Also the most famous I have ever been:cool:

My 15 minutes were oh so short :(

The afternoon reader came out with hoe-stel (hostel) today. Sounds like an interesting place.
Which caller are you?
Well I rang once at 4am to win a pancake parlour voucher because no-one else was closing to getting the answer but other than that I'm not a caller.

Finey was reading out BF on air.

Just found this ,

Much better with Connelly doing it as Dowling has no idea
Rohan's very good.
Can someone inform Teo and Tim that Robert Murphy is not leaving the Western Bulldogs!
I don't know why they're giving this Rumour any air time.
Very sad to hear of Wayne's passing

Oh yeah, regarding the "journos on radio" thing: Turfy said on Saturday that he'd heard that the Herald-Sun don't want their writers to be on radio any more, coz they're giving away too much of the paper's intellectual property

The words "Herald-Sun" and "intellectual" don't sit well together

I cannot understand why thay don't use Matt Granland more often, he is very profesional and doesn't try to make himself the story, like a Matt Thompson, or stuff up like that overated ground announcer in Schebeci. He came on just before talking about what happenned in Las Vagas and just told it as it was.

granland is too good for sen. SEN is a boys club that contains people who scratch each others backs. look at the way they laugh off elementary mistakes.

^ oops! Yikes.

Yeah, Granland's not bad. He knows is place and isn't a try-hard (as yooz say); the complete opposite of Shane McInnes on 3aw, who's a shocker. Every time he opens his mouth he does a bad impersonation of Cometti. I don't think it's a coincidence that others, such as Seb Costello, have gone passed him into the inner sanctum of Sports Today

Hearing Wayne from Geelongs final call into Sen replayed on Monday morning and just before.

Four prophetic things that I noted from it as I was listening to it were first of Wayne quoting the Bill Shankley Life and Death quote , "Some people believe football is a matter of life and death ..... it's much more important than that"

Then shortly after mentioning the Avalon near Geelong a couple of times (Avalon was where in The legend of King Arthur , King Arthur was taken to be healed)

Later in the call he mentioned after being unable to ring through to the previous show on Sen the GBU crew whose topic that night was the number 12 , Wayne says in his call that he was , "dying to tell you that Geelong had never finished 12 on the ladder."

Then finally Wayne mentioned the Death Star from the Star Wars movie Return of the Jedi , and about when in the movie the Death Star became fully operational.

he's passionate that's for sure, but there's more to life than a sport. just asked those who have recently departed.

I agree , but maybe Wayne knew something was wrong , and maybe it was his way of saying goodbye for the last time , without actually saying anything was wrong.

Re :the past few weeks he also mentioned that he mignt not be able to call in an sms the station and various shows as often , he also mentioned to Dash and Teo in his call last Wednesday morning , that he was looking to only go to the Cats games in Geelong only in future.

Ox said on this afternoons show that he would be going to Waynes funeral tomorrow as part of Sens representation.
