Haha. I'm never awake early enough or I'm still a zombie around when they're on so I miss alot of bits. I'm pretty sure it's in his job description to pay attention while at work.

being semi conscious might actually help you understand what they're on about

Oh no,isn't he the guy that turns up to the opening of a fridge door ?
He's always pictured in the sunday papers at some opening and hanging off some bird [sometimes Beverly O'Connor],yet nodody knows what the hell he actually does. He's a w***er.

Pete Lazer is involved in some way with BAP communications, which is Brett Phillips's company. I think he used to be on SEN in the early days of the station as well.

I thought SEN really were soft today in the way they handled the Shaw issue.
They danced all around Alan Didaks involvement all day , repeating the Collingwood club line and pretty much not asking any hard questions.
It seemed to be the SEN callers that were the hardest " at the ball ".
Then at 4pm Derryn Hinch on 3AW and then Gerard Healy at 6Pm both asking hard questions about why is Didak even out late etc etc regardless of if he was to blame.
I hope it is not because Eddie is an SEN commentator that the station was not being tough enough on the topic.
First to the footy and last to leave is okay to say but I prefer brief hard hitting quality than airy fairy quantity.
Anyone agree or disagree .

Well some of the SEN staff refused to criticise Sam Newman last week because he was a friend of theirs and comes on the show (parden the pun again) regularly.

Probably same goes for Eddie.

Hi Guys...

For those who are interested, Born in the USA on SEN is having an NFL tipping competition with a sponsor kicking in some nice prizes for, I think, the top 4 finishers. The season kicks off Sept 4 this year and the information on joining the tipping competition should be loaded onto the SEN website.
Have a crack!

It should be fun!

see my earlier post on an unrelated topic...

...most media-ites don't criticise public identities cause they're mates with them

peternorth has been all over this subject for eternity. SEN staff are going to tread very carefully as I reckon they value Eddie's services and influence greatly. It's human nature and happens in every workplace. And remember that Eddie has ears over all broadcasts and won't be shy in black marking anyone's name.

LOL @ stupid Kevin Bartlett who doesn't think that possessing and taking hardcore drugs is illegal

"Cousins didn't sell drugs, so he didn't break the law!"

SEN missed out on the biggest story of the year, and it was right under their noses.

The guy who rung SEN at 2.00am yesterday, said that Didak was in the car as well.

When SEN replayed the interview during the day, they refused to replay that part of the interview.

If they had any decent journos they would have chased it down like a dog with a bone.

Yeah, I remember that. The bloke said he was friends with the guy who towed Heath's car away. They guys hosting at the time were a bit dimissive of him and he was positive about Didak being there.

As President Ed now works for SEN I am tipping some of the reporters at SEN might have been a bit scared to follow up Didak's involvement in this.

Haha. This is the funniest quiz ever. This guy is drunk.
Can someone not banned please enlighten me as to what exactly I missed? Is it still an Olympics quiz? Going for Gold, or whatever it's called?

They were dismissive because people ring up and say things like that reguarly, so it's hard to filter out what's true/not.

From what I heard of it (i'm sure somebody else will fill you in on the bits I missed) the contestant was Deano, a collingwood supporter from Frankston. He must have called up after a long session at the pub judging by his slurred speech. He couldn't grasp the concept of bronze, silver and gold difficulty levels for the questions that Finey asks. He also kept on mummbling and asking finey to repeat the questions, asking Finey for the answers, asking how much time he had to answer each question, saying that he had already answered the question....ect. At one point, Finey asked him a question and the contestant went off on a tangent talking about Leon Davis being crap and said that Leon was only getting a game due to his skin colour. Finey couldn't keep it all together and in the end I think he just gave up gave the contestant some prizes.

Latest ratings:
MG - no change
HFS - no change
GO - +0.4
RH - +1.0
Finey - +2.5

Weekend - +1.0 (only 1.6 behind MMM for the weekend)

Excellent ratings for SEN and they are finally maintaining a decent audience share. It finally seems as if the ratings are showing more of an indication of how many people do listen to the station. It is great to see Finey's ratings go up as well and TRH ratings must be a record for the station in it's history.

The weekend result is also deserved, their footy coverage is great.

And to all those Doran haters, his ratings appear to be remaining steady.
