Schibecci has been doing sports updates during the day. Brett Phillips did a great sports scores round up on Sunday arvo/evening.

You'd think though that getting rid of staff now wouldn't work anyway since when he got the arse WSO was still on.

This is a bad move by SEN. So many of us work odd hours, WSO has a big enough audience.

Just had a thought- what if Tony decided to wrap up WSO after reading all the bullshit comments on here about it and about himself? Its always been his show and maybe after all the bad feedback and unfair shit people hang on him he's decided he'll switch to days full time?

Management might not bother replacing him if its cheaper to do reruns and the ratings don't drop too much. Who knows?

Tony reads this thread and has posted a few times and maybe he reckons the **** wits who always bag him are in the majority.

Hope they bring it back soon.

SEN are a life saver, would hate to switch back to AW or 774.

A bit disappointing that people are bagging it, its great if you ask me. I don't like every show or every presenter but you're never going to please everybody.

Wonder if they will lose any MG listeners? I know that sometimes i dont mean to stay up past 6am, but if im listening to overnights and it suddenly becomes 6am, i sometimes keep listening.

The latter is what is currently listed on the SEN website for overnight this week. The criticisms in this thread are very much justified, as a lot of product this station puts out is amateur hour. Sadly, the future for an all-sport radio station looks bleak.

Lastly, the regulars in this thread are pro-SEN, and simply know that the crap often served up is not good enough. "Whinge long enough" and something may get changed. The shut-up-and-say-nothing approach by the station about programme changes is pathetic.

As for OWAAT well we will be on from 7-12pm Saturday Nights right through Summer, which we are really excited about. And thankfully you will still be catching plenty of the Sciabecster on SEN doing 'On the Grid' and in a bunch of new roles.

Right the f**kwits have lost me now then. I will no longer be listening to SEN from now I don't like any of the presenters they have on and there ego's just go over the top of there heads the lot of them at SEN. SEN Can get stuffed they have lost a listener. I will be listening to Kiss FM all day now. Morning Glory I don't even bother with Sports 927 fills that spot pretty well.

They start taking a talksport or bbc world sport stream I might start listening again. But putting up with Doran basicly 24/7 now thats it for me.

Id like SEN to wake up as well and freaking relise they are the media. They don't seem to think they are IMO just putting the blame onto to other sources and not excepting any responseablity for a bad story but are so quick to praise them selfs when THEY get the "good" stories 1st.

Is there any news about the NBL coverage? Surely there'll be some live games done.

There was also talk about covering cricket during the summer, this could also lift ratings during the quieter summer months. Are they going to cover cricket?

less people listen means they dont want to pay so much for advertising

less money goes in so they have to make sure less money goes out

so maybe this will mean the station survives until next footy season so this is a bonus

If SEN did the cricket that would be great but i doubt it. ABC have got the cricket and they do it very well.
Don't know if people would change.

Maybe they might do the odd cricket match at best like a 20/20 bash or something.

I would much prefer them put talksport in london instead of best of...seriously how much best ofs can you have...???

Lets get this straight

-Shibecci and BP get taken off without any chance for them to tell us a thanks or a thats it for WSO or whats happened
-Mgt at Sen say nothing at all
-Mgt at Sen dont reply to our emails -well nothing from that de fazio person to my email
-Sen official website still says WSO is on each night

But the first statement we hear about anything comes from a part timer in Mark Frankiln who hasnt been at Sen anywhere as long as Shibecci and BP.
And on an unnofficial Sen website as well.

Where does Mark Franklin get off saying things like " WSO was hindering that goal or Sen is a business and figures dont add up " surely this should have been stated by Sen mgt on the Sen website and not by a weekend part timer on his own site.
And for Franklin to be even laying out the plans for what jobs Shibecci will be doing in the future again on his own non Sen website is so out of line.
I would have liked to have seen BP do this Saturday show but whatever is happening Franklin shouldnt be the one telling us this and its just making the Sen mgt and the Sen website both looking more stupid
