Clinton was a democrat.Interesting to note:
There have been no references to Barack Obama since he became president
There was for George Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. But no doubt being on Fox (Republican), the Simpsons chooses not to mention Barack Obama

I don't think it's a political thing, more that the Simpsons used to be aimed at all ages. Now it's just toilet humour aimed at pre-teens bringing politics into it doesn't fit. Plus the other ones were in as 'guests' to make fun of. There are too many in the US who equate making fun of Obama as being racist so Fox understandably just stay away from it altogether rather than risk audience numbers.Clinton was a democrat.
