More like an EPL first half than a La Liga one. Fast pace, end to end, direct football. Barca have tried to control possession a few times, but their best chances have come from quick attacks. Real are counter attacking well, however Captain Courageous has been splendid on his return.

PS: We have 76% possession and had one of the clearest PKs of all time not given (which would have also had to result in Casillas getting sent off).

Positives:
- Still 8 points
- No suspensions for cup
- Puyol seems to be OK as he was moving freely after the game

Negatives:
- Conceded extremely ridiculous PK
- Puyol injury in first game back (hopefuly not serious)

Looking forward, we will be getting Mascherano back which is excellent as he is one of our form players at the moments. If we play the same way we should be fine in the Cup final, we were unlucky not to win this one.

8 points isn't it? Also on one of the streams I was watching the commentators mentioned that Pique would miss the Copa match after he got booked, is that correct?

My god what a disgusting game to watch. ****ing terrible. So many negatives I can't think of where to begin. Thank **** we didn't win. You just can't let players walk away from that thinking that type of performance is good enough to get a result. Absolutely not. Yes I know this was the least important of the four clashes but it's an attitude thing above all else. That shouldn't change regardless of who we play and for what cause.

Positives
- Busquets quite reliable as DM
- Puyol straight back and dominating (pity about reinjuring himself though)
- Iniesta worked hard from start to finish
- Reasonably impressed with Pique (perhaps tailed off a bit towards the end)
- ummm... that's about it
- Reffing. Stirling job by the ref today.

Negatives
- Keita: **** me what a shocker. Giving away cheap possession everywhere.
- Alves: can count his lucky stars he didn't sent off for the PK
- General defensive mentality: slack, lazy, slow, poor decision making
- Midfield: that second half is actually the first time I can ever remember our midfield getting beaten so convincingly. just got shat on.
- Messi: pathetic attitude to kick the ball into the crowd like that. just because a handful of madrid supporters shine lasers at you doesn't give you a license to take aim with a soccer ball
- Whinging: more than most tonight. ****ing sick of it. Xavi and Valdes, just stfu! Both rightfully booked for dissent. So was Pique, but I thought that was a bit harsh.
- Maxwell: not a big negative but he looked fairly lost when he came on
- Busquets: he's done reasonably well at CB as a fill in but seemed to lose his calmness tonight in the face of better opposition. Bit harsh to have him in the negative column because he was probably one of the better players on the night for us.
- Guardiola: out coached. way, way, way... out coached. Afellay may've been serviceable when he came on but it's not about blooding youngsters (new signings) into the system when you're playing in a Classico. Milito should've come on for Puyol, keeping Busquets at DM. Maxwell should've replaced Pedro giving a lot more defensive support needed down the right flank (as that's where we got r*ped).

As much as I hate him, Pepe was by far and away the best player on the pitch. No one even close. No one more motivated and no one more driven than him tonight. Played his role to perfection as a defensive midfielder. I'll tip the hat to that performance.

Someone on here was saying they rated Albiol above Pique. Step up ya ****! lmfao what a shit player, seriously. Ditto subs Airblower and Adebayor. Khedira was average but Marcelo was very impressive. Has turned a corner. Still an egotistical **** but then again he is Brazilian. (I shouldn't say that considering I have visitor coming from Brazil in July )

Benzema sacrificed his game to run down balls and pressure. Something new to his game. Kudos again to Mourinho on altering his mentality. Still can't convince Cristi Ronaldo to defend though. He chased Afellay down the line once and I think maybe did one other thing that resulted in a turnover for R.Madrid but he is as anonymous as they get when they're without the ball and considering that's 3/4 of the time when you play us then that's a massive issue for them.

Ok, two quick things:

1. Puyols and Adriano both had minor hamstring issues. Both should be OK. (knock on wood).

2. Pique NOT suspended for Copa final. You can't be suspended from a Copa game on the yellow card rule apparently, has to be a straight red.

Time for Justin Bieber to get a game surely. Couldnt be worse then Alves has been this year.

You truly are an idiot. Alves is one of our most important players. Just because he can't defend doesn't mean we don't need him. Release valve + False defender (keeps attacking winger busy tracking him) + Assists (assist leader for us if i'm not mistaken).

Marcelo told Alves he had to go down. Anyway, it's part of football, nothing much to say really, apart from Mourinho who should just stfu sometimes. Why is he complaining about having a man sent off when that man has wrapped both arms around the neck of an opponent who's through on goal? Can't think of a clearer red card situation.

Also interesting to hear Mourinho had instructed to grow the grass about 4 centimetres longer than usual, to slow down our ball circulation. Last season he had Inter's field as small as was allowed by UEFA (nothing wrong with that though, we have ours as big as allowed I think) and remember with Chelsea how he had them throw on extra sand and then spray water before the game to get the field all muddy? He's all class that man. Real deserves him :thumbsu:

That shits me tbh.

Those things should be handled by the Spanish FA and the Spanish FA alone.

Has 12 assists but would be directly responsible for 6-10 goals just by his pure inability to even basically defend. Its all well and nice to downhill ski in a side that enjoys skiing but the reality of the matter is its just a masking agent. Hes a crap RB. IMO I could throw Glen Johnsin into the Barca side and he would have a greater impact
