Apparently Sid Lowe is reporting some rift in the dressing room with some Real players (led by Casillas) not at all happy with the tactics.
To be totally honest, the fact that Di Stefano has stepped out and said this shows how much in denial most Real fans are. I mean celebrating after a DRAW at home that pretty much lost you the league is a little pathetic.

The good news for us is that Albiol is banned. He's shit but his absence means Pepe will slot back into his customary CB position which is crucial for us. He was immense through the middle but if he plays CB he can't run off his line to close down our midfielders without leaving a hole behind him.
Unless Arbeloa plays, pushing Ramos centrally and giving Pep the opportunity to do it again. Probably the more likely scenario. Wonder how they'll line up at the front. Oezil in for Di Maria? Play three DMs like they did in the Classico?

I feel funny about all this. They know they've lost the title and I'm not sure how much they care about the Copa, but with regards to the CL semi's they haven't done a bad job. Mourinho's once again shown how he can unsettle our game, press in the right areas and at the right time, and come back from a goal down with 10 men. That can only give them confidence.
It's weird reading that from Di Stefano, but it's Cruyff I'm more worried about. Even though he is right (let's face it, the proud Real Madrid did indeed lower themselves to play with 7 defending players, not including Casillas, in a match they had to win at home), at the moment it's about winning, or not losing, and Mourinho's doing a good job so far.
A large part of our popularity is because of the way we play, but at this time of the season that won't help us anything. What Cruyff does (and Di Stefano) is only giving Mourinho more stuff to motivate his players with.
Sadly I don't think we'll get to see great games in the next 2 weeks. It may be very close, but Real will just try to suck the life out of everything in midfield and rely on the counter or a free kick - I read the average difference in length between the Real players and ours was 7.5 centimetres. That sounds like a whole lot, not sure if it's correct.

Pepe's suspended for the first semi, isn't he?
I'm very interested in how they will line up in the first CL game. They will either have to drop Pepe back in defense which is great for us as his tackling really disrupts us when he plays DM, or they will play Arbeloa-Ramos-Albiol-Marcelo which we really should be pleased with as I think we can easily break that defense.
Either way, playing Carvallho while he could have been suspended was stupid with a 4-0 cushion.

Pretty useful form guide if you want to back a winner in all fairness. Looks like is it eight in a row or nine this year?
Gotta say, that is an amazing stat. I think him and Maxwell share it though, prior to this season they seem to have been joined at the hip.
Because 2 years ago, the Barcelona and Athletic fans were whistling so loud during the national anthem that nobody could hear it, the Spanish FA have now decided to play it at 120 decibel, which apparently is comparable to the noise of a plane in full flight

I love how there's always someone who says "how come none of them are singing" when they play la marcha real before a Spain match.
