That's why I made the Cam Howatt call. Has been OK in his first few games on the outside, but you can tell he is too light and just doesn't have any strings to his bow to make it. Tonight he has been found out. Won't play many more games. Anyone else almost vomit when they see Ratten barracking like a fanboi?

You can't manufacture hardness though. He aint got it. Never will. Marc Murphy has it. Gibbs never will.

I will say one thing about Carlton. They are finally finding out that having small forwards who don't touch the ball often enough, no matter how classy they are, is a negative. Garlett and Betts on song are class players, but when they are struggling, they offer nothing. Yarran is the most overrated player int he comp.
Judd has been massive tonight. Has really led from the front. Mitch Robinson doesn't know how to give up.

Not just for the obvious reason that it's fun to see Carlton fail, but also because if the trend continues, it REALLY makes our next 2 months look promising.

Even if we lose the Adelaide game tomorrow (which we probably will), our next 6 weeks after that are:

Melbourne (MCG)
Gold Coast (Cairns)
North Melbourne (MCG)
Carlton (MCG)
Brisbane (Gabba)
Western Bulldogs (MCG)

And on form, every single one of those games is VERY winnable. Especially considering that the two bogey games against the Dogs and Roos are both at the G rather than Etihad.

Brisbane at the Gabba we haven't lost to since 2004, Melbourne and Gold Coast should be automatics if we're serious, and the Blues will hopefully be ripe for the picking (we may be the team that could end their season!).

Obviously things can happen between now and then, but if we stick to our structures, keep giving 100%, and push hard from here on in, we could have a very strong finish to 2012.

Here's hoping, anyway!

No game in the AFL is an absolute lock for a win (see GWS two weeks ago), HOWEVER, we have a very juicy 6 weeks to come after the Crows game, and if we're showing the same competitiveness of the first 10 weeks and taking all opposition seriously... well, we SHOULD win more than we lose within those fixtures.

I'm not gonna shy away from the fact that I expect us to beat Melbourne, Gold Coast, and Brisbane, and I think rightly so given the form of the respective teams compared to us. And I expect us to have at least a 50/50 chance against North Melbourne (depending on which North team shows up on the day), and a 60/40 chance against the Dogs.

It's the Carlton game that has always been the worrying one for me, but if the Blues can continue to stink it up this bad, we've got a real shot at taking them down a few more notches!

Plenty of problems at Carlton from what I have seen this year.
Their coach is the No 1 problem at the moment. A barracking fanboi with little clue on how to be a match day coach. Playing so many out of form talls.
Picking Kruezer ahead of Cotchin. Cotchin will become the best footballer in the comp in the next two years. He is already knocking down the door. Kreuzer looks like he is ready for a wheelchair. I hope not. Kid can play but he is no Cotchin. TO be fair, nobody will hold a candle to Trent pretty soon.
No youth coming through. Who do they have that are knocking the door down? Andy Collins? lulz
'Kids' like Yarran and Garlett who are clueless. Kane Lucas struggling. Daniel Rich was pillared for being taken ahead of Yarran after year 2. How's that going now? Yarran is an also ran and Rich has regained his form and is killing it in a better midfield comprising Redden, Rockliff, Zorko and Black.
It's funny when Bitchmond have already gone past you when you are in your 'premiership window'.

We all know Nicnat is exciting and after seeing him on On the Couch during the week, he is also an impressive young man.
