Not sure I agree with this assessment. If you're going to be a gun you need to go past other players - not watch as they step up and you don't lift to match, especially when your young. Also I'd like him to remember 2012, and say to himself I haven't achieved what I wanted in that year, I need to do better.

I suspect it would be easy for him to rest on his laurels and just be a good player - but I think he can be great. Perhaps he's on track already but looking at the Jack Dyer I think the coaches are sceptical also. He really needs to pull his finger out to make '13 his breakout year.
But you can only be as good as your role allows you. For example if you were a full back but the ball never came to you, would you say that person had a bad year? We had a lot more players in the middle performing well, Martin hasn't done that bad.

I do agree in that I don't think he should forget 2012 but there were some things in 2012 that he needs to push out of his mind, a good preseason should help that. Bring on 2013.

They just fell short vs the pies at the G last time. I expect them to win this time.

I want Collingwood out so bad.
Yep be alot of non Collingwood supportes cheering on West Coast this weekend ....Anyway at least the CRIME rate should be down this weekend cause most Collingweed supporters will be at the game..

Sure, and I said he'd been good, I just thought he could have been better - great players transcend what is happening around them and make things happen. Perhaps it's my expectations being unrealistic or premature, or perhaps he hasn't worked as hard or smart as he needs to. Given all available evidence (Jack Dyer, that incident), I suspect it's possibly a bit of both.

Pretty tense news conference from Alberton but their CEO handled it very well. Relieved but strangely concerning to hear none of his mates were with him but they don't know why he was at the Flamingo. Better to leave that alone to take it's due course though. Just a terrible tragedy. Puts a fair few things in perspective.

Also forgot he trained with us until our twitter said it in their condolences message.

Apparently Tony Jones did the same thing NZ_Tiger, although that's expected from him.

..We might get lucky and they might burn the place down(Collingwood)...All tho Collingwood is like an out door prison..it all needs to be cyclone fenced off..then the crime rate in melbourne would drop near 100%..
