Luck again is with us....Wolves probably deserved a point. Jonas's goal was pretty special. Ba scored again, poor defence but still he put it away.

I still expect us to hit a poor patch but boy I have gone from thinking avoid relegation to hoping for a top 10 finish.

3 points against Wigan was well deserved and not lucky at all, we controlled possesion (61%) and had more shots on target, how that translates to luck is beyond me. Best should have nailed that header, his ability in the air is severely lacking but that's were Ba excells.

We still lack some creativity in the middle of the park, to much is reliant on Cabaye, god help us should he go down and we need to play Guthrie. Really would like to see a fit Dan Gosling, was rated as a wonder kid at Everton and it's just a shame injuries have slowed his progression although I still think he will end up being a very good footballer.

Anyone else want Marveaux to start ahead of Obertan? I like Obertan but I think Marveaux has that real xfactor as was seen by his control and lay off to Cabaye for the winner. Ben Arfa needs time, although his strike was awesome when he came on, he is going to be a weapon moving forward. Time to give Santon a start against Blackburn in teh cup game to, this kid is going to be top notch.

Our squad is still way way to thin, we need cover in central defence and a quality nippy striker to match with Ba! I'd also be happy to hand Ba the number 9 if his form was to continue for the season although I'm not sure on the clubs stance on whether it is held for an Englishmen or not. I still think Gignac is going to be availible in January, he would be a great addition to the already growing French stable we have.

I can not recall being so settled at the back as we are now.

If we can keep this run going, hopefully we may splash some cash in the Jan window.

We have a very thin squad and as the season wears on this is going to count against us.

Our game against Spurs was excellent - Stoke will be a test.

This is where HBA slots in I believe. Don't know how he'll slot in, let's hope he doesn't have to, but when he's on the park HBA is sensational.

I haven't seen much of Marveux, but I believe he's a left-footer, and (according to FM scouts at least) prefers a more advanced central role.
The thing with him is if we are playing on the right, we're playing two inside-out wingers. I personally prefer one right-on-the-right, and since Gutierrez is known for being horrific with a cross, I'd much rather he stay on the left, as there is no other real right winger.

I think we still need a dedicated left-back. The hole on the left isn't so bad as there aren't any supremely dangerous players down the right in the Prem at this stage - the likes of Silva, Giggs, Downing, even Malouda all prefer the left, and Danny's doing a pretty good job. Apart from that, though, I think you're spot on.

Ohhh no, please If we start seeing bandwagoners I'll vomit (this is not particuly directed at you), we are next to no chance of the CL, maybe just maybe we could get a Europa league spot. We are in a lucky position were probably all bar 3 sides below us are quite poor! Villa, Everton, Fulham, Stoke, Sunderland haven't improved so we have a realistic shot at Europa football but it's hardly going to send shivers through Europe.

I've got to say Demba Ba is an out and out star, have heard from the time he was in Germany that he is one of the most talented front men in the world but was never fit and always had knee and joint issues... Well if we get a full season out of this lad he will score 25 for us. Don't forget how well Leon Best is playing also, his strength over the ball and ability lay off is the biggest reasons Ba has been so good.

Vital to get 3 points against Everton this weekend as we could very well go winless for the next 3 matches with City,Utd and Chelsea to follow.

I don't know yet. While Eastlands is probably a write-off, if we can take something from Old Trafford and from the Chelsea game...

It's still too early. If by the end of December we're still thereabouts we have to be contenders surely.

I never metioned anything about Champions League, but Europa is a real possibility. If the defence stays strong and injuries are kind to us, it could be an almost certainty.

Just watched the Stoke replay - loved Ba give the Stoke fans the can not hear you after his first.

Also happy to be out of the Carling Cup - we don't have the depth.

I hope it's not. Even a return to the Europa League would be amazing.

A Champions League return.....would be holy f***ing shit awesome.

Especially since I trust Ashley to at least not attempt to wreck the club Leeds-style like Freddy Shepherd tried after Sir Bobby got us back there.

I know it's harsh on D-Sim, but Santon on the right and M'Bengue/Pieters on the left would be great.

What's the rush to replace Simpson? he is one of the better RBs in the PL, in fact the lack of depth in full backs in the PL is alarming, there is very little quality when comparing to CBs. Santon will make LB his own and then we will have Taylor and Simpson fighting out the RB spot and atm you can't move Danny.

Maiga a done deal? heard that soooo many times, lets wait until papaers have been signed and there is an announcement. He will be a great addition although he has been just OK in France so far this season, I really doubt his heart is in it. Best will have to take a seat for Maiga and that's something he will hate, he has attitude issues and if Maiga comes he is fine to move on.
