Not only that but we were favored to sign Toby Alderweild and now it seems Southampton have all but wrapped up the deal. Alderweild is one of the best Centre Backs in the world, he has been unlucky at Atletico who have IMO the best defensive unit in world soccer, hard to get a game in front of Miranda and Godin.

Lacazette scores again and Lyon have rejected us again, this is getting sad.

Alderweireld is a star man, commanding in the air and athletic with good pace, that is something we just clearly don't have. Colo is now disgustingly terrible in positioning him self ( previously he was just terrible) and Williamson is just plainly and simply and Championship Center half, the guy is slow and immobile.

This is true. Really can't believe Mapou went from a 22 year old captain, international and a future star of French football to an absolute useless hack under Pardew. I think it's plain to see, Pardew is the issue.
