It's always darkest before the dawn.
It's sickening.
There's no doubt we're a relegation candidate.Teams focus on improving over the summer,we've arguably gone backwards.
We've simply picked up where we left off at the end of last season.
Don't look great.:(
Our lack of goals could become record setting;fewest goals in EPL season type of thing.:eek:I bloody hope not but in the lowlights package I saw the players looked disturbingly frustrated/disinterested.
We need the call of the cash fountain North of the border to become deafening.

So true mate - I've been telling myself the dawn will come soon - it's been one hell of a long night 2014 :D:oops:

One thing I'm a bit worried about is we seem to lack leaders out on the park - when the tough gets going, you want players who can stand up and drag the others into gear. Not sure who is going to do that - Tiote or Colback maybe?

There's been some talk that Pardew is trying to shift the blame onto Graham Carr by saying the signings aren't good enough. Well, to me that is just another excuse for a manager who has little tactical knowledge and poor management - how else can you explain so many players going backward since joining the club

Sickening is the word to describe it! I'm not surprised he is blaming everyone but himself (even slightly blamed the fans on Saturday), it's not as if he can rely on his skills and experience to guide us through this.

Yeah, heard that! Something about the fans putting too much pressure or expectation on the players and team?

I guess it's unreasonable for fans to not want to see their team get thumped by 4 goals against a team that lost 5-6 of their best players in one window :$

All part of the current regime's attempts to try and water down fan's hopes of winning a cup or finishing top 4-6. We should be over the moon with top 10 and more money going to Ashley's pocket :drunk:

The only thing that I'm hanging on to is that it cannot go on;it has to come to an end.
Hopefully before the end of this season, and as we've all said it may take the threat of relegation and Cashley realising the club will take another 2 years to return to its current value.
I'm still hopeful he'll sell even though he's denying it.
If not we'd better get used to "Once great club Newcastle United....."articles and I don't think that's going to happen.

Great article! I'll be sharing that with a few non NUFC mates who have been wondering why we are so crap.

That's a great read! I'm going onto the soccer boards podcast this week and Pardew is going to be one of the topics. Will bring up a lot of these points, very damning isn't it!

Saw this joke posted on another page, thought it might be worth a share :D

Alan Pardew walks into a bank in Newcastle. He walks up to the teller and says: "I'd like to withdraw £5,000 please".
The teller replies "Certainly sir! All I need is to see some identification." Pardew, taken aback, replies "This is really embarrassing. But I don't have any I.D. on me. But I'm Alan Pardew. You can ask anybody around here. They will tell you who I am." The teller replies sternly "I know who you are sir. But I still need some sort of proof of identification. I'm sorry."
Bemused, Pardew asks "is there really nothing you can do?" The teller says "Well. There is one thing. A number of years ago we had this same situation with Obafemi Martins. Obafemi came in without any form of I.D. to prove who he was. So he said he would prove it by doing something an impostor couldn't possibly do. He set a football down in the street outside. He then proceeded to kick it as hard as he possibly could. He kicked the ball so far, we knew it had to be him." Alan replies: "Interesting. Were there any other cases?"
The teller smiles and replies:"Yes actually. Not two months ago we had Hatem Ben Arfa in. Same problem again. So Hatem proceeds to put the ball on the floor, and starts juggling it with his feet. He goes on to do a number of tricks, and we knew it absolutely had to be him.
"So Sir, is there anything you could do to prove to us who you are?" the teller asks.
Pardew stops to think for a minute. He shakes his head and replies "I can't think of anything at all. I'm not sure if there's a solution here. Honestly, I'm drawing a blank..."
The teller asks "Will that be large or small notes sir?"

This is pretty incredible - someone made a collage of a few headlines from under Pardew's reign. As per the article Scon shared, he seems to enjoy pointing the finger at others...

Don't think it will do any good but at least the media seem to be ramping up the pressure...

Hope the fans make their voices heard against Hull this weekend. I think the only way change will happen is if the fans make it impossible for Pardew to stay in charge. Boycott games, protests, whatever it takes...

Sad,sad, sad;only thing Cashley responds to is the weight of his wallet so don't buy any merchandise and don't buy your season ticket.
Anything else he laughs at IMHO.
Shearer has some sympathy for Pardew because he doesn't have a say in who we buy or how much we spend, but I'd respectfully disagree as Pardew is the one who signed the 8 year "I'll be a complete yes man and just take the money, thanks very much My Lord!" contract.
He would have been well aware of the type of man Ashley was after the King Kev revelations and no-one held a gun to his head to sign.Just another amoral pasasite coach. He's not the only coach with that approach there's plenty of mercenaries out there. It just so happens the one we've got as coach happens to know phark all about man management or coaching a footba' side.:(

Doesn't get any better too - apparently Aarons out for 6 weeks according to the Daily Star (granted not the best source going around)...

FFS I thought we had a shiny new cutting edge fitness guru??Has Pardew broken him as well??

Ben Arfa on the mow'em down ride on is pretty funny and could easy be true come the weekend.
You can imagine how determined he'll be to tear us a new arse and he's got the talent to do it.

This journo is clearly not trying hard enough:rolleyes:
Some of his points are definitely debatable but if number 36 is true Pardew should be run out of town on that basis alone.:straining:
http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/58-reasons-alan-pardew-sacked/

Shocking (but not surprising sadly).

Read somewhere the fans who travelled to Southampton had to get up and leave Newcastle at 4.40am on a Saturday morning for a 650 odd mile round trip only to watch the side capitulate against a team trying to rebuild after losing half their best XI in one window.

If I'm honest, Pardew should have been sacked after his headbutt, that's just unprofessional and embarrassing for the club, putting it in the headlights of media around the world for the wrong reasons. If the players aren't putting in the effort for him, not hard to see why - hard to give a hoot for someone you don't respect :(

Isn't there a clause in loan contracts to say he isn't allowed to play for the parent club?

I think it's also standard practice to include a 'right to buy' clause into loan deals,so if our track record is anything to go by(Loic Remy) we don't do things other people do.
I've read articles talking about him fronting up against us,don't know how true??

That headbutt(albeit an absolutely pathetic statement equivalent to "LOOK THE WHOLE WORLD SHITS HARDER THINGS THAN ME!" was disgraceful and as you say NUFC should have been the end of him full stop, zero negotiation or attempts to understand or excuse.
Spoke volumes about the man's stupidity, arrogance, lack of judgement, control, respect for the club he represented etc etc could write a bloody book about this dillbrain and the negativity him and his master have brought to the club.

Just checked on Fantasy Premier League and it says he isn't available this week because he can't play against parent club - they're usually pretty spot on I think.
