Just checked on Fantasy Premier League and it says he isn't available this week because he can't play against parent club - they're usually pretty spot on I think.

Yep, player's can't play against parent clubs when on loan under FIFA regulations (could lead to a whole bunch of match fixing issues you'd think...though pretty sure HBA would like nothing better than scoring and celebrating in front of Pardew I suspect!).

Interestingly, that Abel Hernandez (who said Newcastle would be a dream move for him) scored for Hull on debut...hope that's not a case of us missing the boat on a player (especially with our strikers misfiring).

And just when you thought things couldn't get any sadder or your opinion of the club's operations couldn't get any lower...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...d-winger-Jonas-Gutierrez-fighting-cancer.html

"I detected a tumour in a testicle,” said Gutiérrez told TyC Sports. “When I confirmed the cancer, I went home crying. This is the most difficult game that I had to play.

"I came here [Argentina] and I assumed the costs, despite having a contract with Newcastle. Money is not important. What is important is the health I had to start chemotherapy …”

Gutiérrez claimed he returned to training with Newcastle after the operation, but was told to find a new club and he was eventually loaned to Norwich City earlier this year, where he made four appearances.

"I had the operation in Argentina,“ he added. “I removed the left testicle. I returned to England and Newcastle told me to leave, "he said. The player had to leave the club and came to Norwich, where he had continuity.

"It was hard to find that my hair was falling out. I did not want to cut it, I wanted to hold on.”

Absolutely gutless way to treat a player who's always given his all for the club and never done anything to cause any troubles. 194 appearances for the club, including sticking around in the championship after our relegation and trying to get us promoted and this is the thanks he gets.

Really feel sorry for him, hope he gets better. Never had a bad word against Gutierrez, always put in a shift and ran hard both ways.

Something to look forward to this weekend hopefully!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...er-Alan-Pardew-at-game-against-Hull-City.html

"Newcastle United supporters are planning to unveil hundreds of banners calling for the sacking of Alan Pardew, the manager, during the game against Hull City on Saturday, in what would be one of the biggest demonstrations of its kind in English football.

As well as printing 200 anti-Pardew banners, the group have also produced 15,000 A4 cards calling for Pardew to be dismissed and are confident that they will be able to take them into the stadium."

I went off too early when I used the word sickening the other day.To treat someone like Guttierez like that is a disgrace. To not make a statement about the player's predicament is beyond comprehension and inexcusable. Why would you treat anyone with such disdain and lack of respect??Why wouldn't you let the fans know??Spider-Mag busted a gut every time he hauled the shirt over his head until the final second of every game win, lose or draw.:thumbsu:Hope he makes a full recovery wins the Argentinian lotto buys the club and puts the current admin in the middle of St Jame's for the fans to deal with.
Your sig is becoming more and more important to read and relate to NUFC Tiger, because otherwise I'd be thinking I didn't want to be associated with such a shower of campaigners.
Hernandez looked a likely lad for Hull the other night.Hatem came on for about 15 and only really showed his frustrating side...understandable since he's only been there 10 mins.

Great to see him still with a smile on his face - think there's talk of an 18th minute round of applause for him too which would be great to see happen.

Saw this one a few days ago from King Kev - got to keep the faith, Cashley will be gone one day...:)

Not sure how feasible this is but would be great if wealthy supporters, ex players and fans could all chip in and raise enough money to buy the club back. If the protests don't work, I think the only way to hurt Ashley would be to avoid attending games. Won't do his advertsing any good with an empty stadium and the loss of 50,000 fans for home games might hurt the bottom line too.

Good on Kev...one of many bloody champions we've had.
He's on the money too,it is getting a bit disheartening, but as he says time to hang tough these clowns will be gone sooner rather than later.
Don't really know what cognitive dissonance is but I might have it:rolleyes:
Edit:
Appears it's becoming accepted knowledge that we are officially a dysfunctional football club:

Pretty classy (but also embarrassing for the club) that Chelsea made a public statement wishing Jonas well before someone at NUFC finally pulled the finger out.

Great to see the SackPardew.com movement is taking off too!

Lots of local businesses helping with donations/printing of banners while throughout the city, more and more signs are going up. Ashley hates bad press and I'm sure this won't please him if it the rumoured 15,000 print outs and 200+ banners are scattered in the crowd during the game.

Also, had to laugh at the fear campaign the club are trying to start to try and quell the SackPardew movement...

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...tle-uniteds-vice-life-president-urges-7788741

“On Saturday it’s time to forget about the political side of it.

“Forget who owns the club, forget the manager and get behind the players and lift them because they need it.

“We all have our views on the owner and the manager.

“But I don’t think banners or placards are helping.

“It’s going over the top and I don’t think it is needed.

“If you are a Newcastle supporter what you need to is get behind the team on Saturday.

“I’ve been there before with Lord Westwood, Gordon McKeag and Stan Seymour, you have to forget about that lot and get behind the team.

Otherwise we could be in the Championship again.

“This game on Saturday is a crucial fixture for us to win.

...

Dix also hopes that Alan Pardew is able to do his job on the touchline on Saturday.

He said: “The manager needs to be able to do his job.

“It’s diabolical if he can’t.

I cringed when he was unable to get out of his seat against Cardiff.

“You can’t do that to a human being.

Let him manage and get on with it.

It could cost the team three important points.

“This is a vital time for everybody concerned with the club.”

Get behind the team, let Pardew do his job without interference? The fan's have put up with enough and deserve more than has been dished up. How many games do you want to 'get behind the team' - he's had all 2014 to try and turn things around and nothings happened. The simple fact is he wouldn't be criticised if he was doing a decent job. His constant excuses - going so far as to blame the fans even for 'cheering the team too much against Palace' is just laughable.

Heck, if we get behind the team, we'll probably get blamed for putting too much pressure on the players :$

I don't know who the SackPardew group are but they are at least trying to make positive change by removing the muppet! The club want to go through official links - where has that got us? Didn't the club postpone the next meeting anyway?

Sackpardew.com have announce what is happening, it's over on their website. Can't wait to see it.

The aim of this is to display a united front against Alan Pardew and the current malaise at the club, for which we believe he has not assumed an acceptable level of responsibility. As a result:

- We are protesting against his increasingly poor results over the past two years.

- We are protesting against his deceit and empty promises.

- We are protesting against his mismanagement of the club and the playing staff.

- We are protesting against his misrepresentation of our hopes and expectations.

- We are protesting against his decision to continue on in what is now an untenable position.

We have 30,000 A4 sheets with “SackPardew.com” in red and blue text on a white background, plus 100 larger banners adorned with our black and white logo, all of which come complete with fire certifications and can be collected for free in Newcastle city centre on the day of the game.

Once in possession of banners and/or cards, we suggest that supporters proceed as normal into St. James’ Park for a unified display throughout the5th minute, to highlight Pardew’s unacceptable record of just 5 wins in 2014. However, should individuals wish to unfurl their banners and/or hold up their cards pre-match and at other points during play we would fully support that as well (just watch out for John Carver).

30,000 A4 sheets and 100 large banners - is it wrong of me to say this is what I'm most looking forward to seeing this weekend? ;)

Have to tip my hat at the SackPardew people - they're doing a great job organising this and trying to mobilise the fans into collective action. Hope it works!

Came across this - pretty funny :D

Here come the excuses...

Maybe someone should tell Pardew that the 'hysteria' isn't just from Southampton, or our start to the season but for the whole of 2014 where we've managed 5 wins in 24 games, failing to score in 16 of those while conceding 48 goals (and scoring a paltry 17).

The team sheet is in and the lineup is insipid, we've gone with Dummett again!

Krul
Janmaat Colo Willo Dummett
Tiote Colback
Sissoko Cabella Gouffran
Riviere

lol. At least Cisse is on the bench, though

Geez....4 games and Pardumb still doesn't know Riviere needs a partner

Dummett FFS...

Here's hoping this is this his last game in charge!

Haidara was almost our best player against Soton - and dropped! It's like he is deliberately trying to lose!! I can't wait for the game. Going to be interesting to see how toxic the atmosphere becomes and how him and the players react.

Ridiculous isn't it?

Hope the crowd boo and chant anti Pardew abuse all game!

Jiggystoon just in case you didn't know there is a separate Toon board mate ;)

Hope you can cap off the Hawks win with the welcome news that Cashley has sacked the useless muppet!

Great to see HBA in the crowd!
Saw a report that he may have a clause in his contract to return to NUFC if Pardew is replaced as manager. Too good to be true/hope for?
