Following Occam's razor, simplest explanation is usually the correct one, so I'm going to go with some journalist making up bullsh*t to build a story which will sell papers heading into the transfer window. FSG aren't stupid, under no circumstances would selling Suarez be either a good business or footballing decision in our present position.
How can you say that? If you sell him for £200bn it would certainly be a good business and footballing decision.
As it is, you apparently don't have a lot of money to improve a squad that desperately needs improvement. You don't have a lot of saleable assets, and he is the most saleable one you have. I doubt he'll be sold yet as I don't think there are clubs with the sort of money needed to buy him that would be interested in an expensive January auction.
