Anyone watching this season?

First episode was pretty interesting. Rampage and Rashad really have some bubbling angst going against each other. The coaches are probably going to steal the spotlight in this one.

As for the fight, very mediocre, but Rampage chose hopelessly. I really think he's going to be dominated as a coach, I'm not sure of his intelligence to be honest!

Rashad having Greg Jackson as one of his assistants is almost unfair also!

Kimbo being there adds to the intrigue, everyone seems to be gunning for him.

Yeah love the trash talk between them, I think it might create a friction within the teams too.

Kimbo has been made a deliberate target by Dana as well with his special entrance.

The first episode absolutely destroyed the previous record for TUF ratings.

The fight itself was horrible despite the absurd amounts of blood but the rest of the episode was great. I'm guessing that Kimbo will fight on the third episode when Rashad gets control of making the fights.

Had to laugh at Big Country thinking he was going to be the big surprise entrant on the show only for Rampage to not even know who he was and then get passed over in favour of about 10 other fighters.

Yeah, I didnt think Big Country would fall that far. Personally I thought he would've been one of the first picked, despite his fatness.

Rampage is pretty funny, but he's a terrible coach. Picked a terrible matchup and then offered absolutely nothing in the corner.

lol @ Big Country being like the 9th guy picked. Obviously Rampage and Rashad had no idea who he was, easily my pick to win the show comfortably though.

Man that head gash was pretty bad, split him all the way down to the bone. Had a mate opened up in a similar way by a flying elbow in suburban footy, left him with a big arsed scar... on the plus side though his kids think he is Harry Potter.

Terrible first up fight though, Rampage seemed to pick based on size and not skill. Hope his fighters have a much better skill set and ring awareness than Abe(?) displayed. Big lumbering ox that looked okay hitting a defenseless bag, but totally clueless against very basic wrestling takedowns.

If that was par for this season it is in line for worst talent ever award. That was probably the worst fight I have ever seen, and I have seen some bad ones. Wenger or what ever his name is lost averaging 10-8 a round to a dude who sucked balls. 4 ex-NFL players say it all, I really wonder if it is worth the download.

Rashad having Greg Jackson as one of his assistants is almost unfair also!
Yeh I was thinking that. Rampage really has no idea how to coach and then you have Rashad bringing in probably the best coach in the business.

First episode was interesting. Fighters look horrible but it should be entertaining.

Man I love UFC. Rashard all the way with this on. Stuff Mr T, I mean Rampage! Rampage screwed the fans bigtime cancelling his Rashard fight... Dana said yesterday that he wont be back till after Febuary.

Rampage has spit the dummy over Dana spitting the dummy at him and claimed today he's retired from fighting, effective immediately.

Yeah read that.... Disappointing if true, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. I would have liked to see Rashad/Rampage.

Maybe they can figure something out in the future. Depends if Page has the heart for fighting, it seems like he doesn't.

A good rule of thumb is to never believe fighters when they say they're retiring. He'll patch things up with Dana and the Rashad fight will still happen in the first half of next year. His acting career isn't going anywhere beyond maybe a sequel to this film if it performs well. After that he'd be typecast in minor stereotypical ghetto black man roles.

WOW, Gay... This is from his blog.

The UFC has done a lot for me but I think I have done more for them. The UFC bought WFA to get my contract & they saved my life, so I felt loyal to them. They pushed me into a fight with Chuck Liddel even when I clearly stated I wasn't ready to fight for the belt because the American fans didn't know me but I took the fight and didn't complain & after I won the American fans booed me for the first time which changed the way I saw them & it hurt me deeply.

Then before I can even get out of the cage they announced that I was fighting Dan Henderson without even asking me. After I beat Dan Henderson, I made history in becoming the first undisputed champion in MMA but was never even given the pride belt in the cage & I was never promoted as the undisputed champ. Later Anderson Silva was.

Then they had me coach TUF season 7 and fight Forrest and the fight was very controversial & normally when a fight is that close & controversial there is normally an instant replay. I can name a couple of instances. Instead they offered me the Vanderlei Silva fight which I gladly accepted even though I know it was a very risky fight for me to take because of all the drama that was happening to me at the time. I fought that fight with a jaw injury and then a couple weeks later Dana called me and asked me to fight Rashad. For the first time I said no, I didn't want to fight because it was such short notice & I wouldn't have had a long break between camp. Dana talked me into fighting Rashad anyway but Rashad refused the fight and so I had to fight Jardine as a favor to the UFC instead of getting my belt back (which wasn't even worth it to me financially).

Then I reinjured my jaw in the fight with Vanderlei & Jardine. Frank Mir gets hurt so they wanted to switch my fight from UFC 100 to the fight Frank couldn't make it to but I couldn't fight cause I needed jaw surgury. So they give Machida the fight against Rashad & they told me they want me to coach TUF season 10 against Rashad. That's why I wanted Rashad to win so bad but when Rashad got knocked out I told them I wanted to fight Machida for the belt but Dana told me if I coach TUF against Rashad that I could fight Machida afterwards cause this was a different type of ultimate fighter show they were doing. After I signed the contract Dana then changes his mind & says I have to fight Rashad & even told me what to say in the press & so my fans think I was scared to fight Machida. After all that I still never complained & I did it all.

Then this movie role came about that I have been trying to get for over a year & as soon as I found out I was close to getting it, I called Dana right away & asked to push the Memphis fight back just a month or so. I told him what this movie role meant to me. I told him that I used to bond with my father watching the tv show as a kid when my parents where still married & it represents the memories I had with my father when we lived together. My dad became an alcohalic & addicted to drugs & we grew apart. But after my dad got his life back together, I was so proud of my dad & I told him I would always take care of him in the future & make him proud of me. My dad & I are still very big fans of the show & I am basically doing this for the childhood memories I had spending time in front of the tv with my dad. Dana went on the internet & mocked me because of that & I still did nothing. Dana & I finally talked & we made up & then after that he went back on the internet & said some bullshit & he was talking bad about the movie when information is not even supposed to be released & talking about payments which is not even true could really hurt my future acting career, which could very well last longer than my fighting career. I'm not like Randy Couture. My body has been getting so many different injuries that I wont be able to fight until my forties & neither do I want to fight that long. So I feel like my second career could be in jeopardy.. so I'm done fighting. I've been getting negative reviews from the dumb ass fans that don't pay my bills or put my kids though college. So I'm hanging it up. I'm gonna miss all my loyal fans but hopefully they'll follow me to my new career & I will gain more loyal fans along the way. & all you hater fans out there can kiss my big black hairy ass! & anybody that don't like what I just said can come try to kick my ass!

I still feel the UFC is a great organization and I felt like I was very loyal to them but they didn't respect my loyalty but I wish the UFC the best. I did a lot of things for them. I wish no bad blood between us but I have kids & a family back in Memphis to provide for & thats all that matters to me!

So for now it seems pretty real.....

Yeah he's pissed, but when/if the movie career thing falls through an other opportunities don't arise he'll be back. They all come back. Look at Tito, 12 months ago he would have taken a dump on an offered UFC contract. Dana is a **** when it counts and he speaks shit about people publicly but he always forgives and forgets too.

Look, I'm as disappointed in Rampage calling it quits as anybody, but COME ON! He's B.A. Baracus!

That is dead. set. awesome.

He has my blessing to retire from fighting if he can get a role in The A-Team.

Episode 2 is out. Just watched it. Spoiler tags for those who havent seen it.

Holy crap, I thought the first fight wasn't great.......this one was worse. Felt like it should have gone to a 3rd round, but I'm really glad it didn't. Pretty uneventful episode. Next week should be awesome. Good move to show the fight announcement now and enjoy the ratings next week. Big Country is going to destory Kimbo though, it will be glorious.

I thought the last fight was bad, OMFG this was worse. Last time I said in jest it was the worst MMA fight I have ever seen, that was an exaggeration, I'd seen worse. This time it is not. That was the worst MMA display (I can't even use the word "fight") I have ever seen. Bar none. Where the hell did Dana drag these dudes from? This isn't even sport!

Come on, have you seen Severn/Shamrock II ;)

Nah, this was pretty damn embaressingly bad.. Was hard to judge... the big guy got mount and did some damage and passing on the ground, but the smaller gent got away with a few hard leg kicks...

Who cares, both were appaling.

Kimbo/Roy, now that is a fight... hell, that'd probably sell a good number of PPV's a year or so ago. Will have to see if Kimbo has improved, and I kinda hoped this would be one of the last fights of the season...

Next week should be the first decent episiode

They have both been good episode's..

The fights will ALL be a little lackluster I think, They mostly are unskilled fighters, So they all wont look like Anderson Silva! Heavyweights are always a little Unskilled so there fights can sometimes be a little slow. Not Boring, Slow!

Kimbo has his hands full nex week though, He could win being that Rashard has just said he is gonna train with him at Greg Jackson's. He said something like he was impressed with Kimbo so, Could he beat Big Country?? Maybe, Roy ISNT taking this too serious!!

I'll be stunned if Kimbo beats Nelson. The winner of this fight will probably win the whole thing, going on what we've seen so far.
