I think he will be back sometime around R10-16. Its a big window, but his foot injury is a tough one - if its not managed properly it could end up like Matty Egans. The medicos will give him all the time in the world with this injury.

i think it will do the opposite. birchall is a pretty hard player to replace, due to his run and great foot skills. i would think hodge will play his role a little more in his absence as the running backman out of defence.

I'm venting about the western conference in NBA being soooooo much more competitive than the Eastern Conference, the Jazz are 8th in the West and have to play bloody LA who are going to rip them to shreads when if they were an Eastern Conference team they would be 4th and have a home series.........so unfair

I was surprised that big Irish was not included, Waite plays his best footy when he is not playing 1-on-1. He struggles a little in a contest and would definitely rather see him floating around the backline. It was shown up by the Bombers last week. They have also got Grundy and O'Keefe to match-up on so there are some decisions to be made by the match committee.

If i was Paul Roos this week i'd really try and stretch the Carlton defence if O'Hailpin isn't included. I'd probably play Goodes up forward in patches as well.
