Hmm....haven't posted for a while...that's a good thing.
....haven't played for a while....that's a bad thing.
....haven't lost for a while....that's a good thing.

...last night, playing in my new "tight" style (which generally lasts less than an hour before I fall into bad habits once I feel I "know" my opposition)...

...Player in seat 5, has gone all-in to win four pots uncalled - including the last two pre-flop. A few snide remarks around the table about gutless players, chicken, etc. Trying to bait a call out of us.

...I get pocket JJ, he goes all in from 1st position, I think about it but fold. BB calls (only had a few BB left anyway). Seat 5 had Kh 9h. Can't remember what BB had, but he doubled up.

...four hands later, I got Ah Kh and raised $5 (overs, but Seat 5 was still to play as BB). Of course he came back at me with an all-in (about $23). I called, and he turned over 4/6 off-suit.

Two hearts on the flop, but paired his 4. turn was a 6, and river a king - but by then it was all too late.

...pissed off, I hung around hoping someone else would knock him out. I didn't have to wait long.

a few hands later, he again went all-in pre-flop - this time he had three callers!

KJ, JJ, 88. He turns over.....pocket aces.

Flop gave him a set, and no-one caught up.

======================

I know (from experience) that playing like a maniac is a losing strategy, but this guy managed to 'steal' most of the pots, then on the two occassions he was called - wiped out his opposition. Quintupled (?) his stack in just a few hands.

...to add insult to injury, he made some comment about how crap the play was on the 'cheap tables' before timing out.
=======================

One more thing....if you're BB, get dealt AA, and the table folds to you...is it considered bad form to show your cards? What if you had 2/7 off?

I've done both before, and only drew comments on the AA....if anything I thought the 2/7 (which everyone else would have beaten) would cause more offence?

$10 double up SnG - 7 left, all-in to basically get ITM QQ v A8 - he hits trip 8's.

2 hands later, he raises all-in from SB, I call in BB HU. KQ v KJ. Would have been back in 4th, but he hits his Jacks.

2 suckouts by same guy to knock me out - hate poker.

Yeah that is sick it's happened to me before in those double up sngs too. 6 left i get it in A5 v T6 to knock the ss out flop came A 5 9 wait for it... running 6s... then a few other bad beats and I finish 6th

My computer just over-heated and effectively blew up, won't turn back on/even register that the power is plugged in, the night before GSOP. I think i'm going to cry. Why do I run so good?

first time poster long time reader, finally got around to using a $200 tourney ticket at GSOP on BWIN, playing solid for 2 hours on chip average, on the button with JJ everyone folds to me, standard raise of 3 times BB, BB thinks im trying to steal the blinds so re raises to put me all in, call and he reveals K6, flop comes 10 10 8, turn Q and K hits on the river.

think i am done with BWIN

Made the final table in the $7.5K GP rebuy, without rebuying once, as the short stack by a long way. Couple of lucky hands and I'm sitting 7th of 9. I get AT so I move all in and get called by KJ. Yee ha. Flop xc,xc,xc. he doesn't have any clubs so I'm looking good to more than double up to around 3rd. Turn xc, river xc. Split pot, nooooooooooooooo.

It is a very good chance your PSU (power supply unit) is dead, which is the best case scenario for you.

Hopefully that's all it is, but doesn't really bother me either way as it's still under warranty so I won't have to pay for anything - just want it back ASAP. Took it to the Toshiba shop thismorning to get it repaired; they told me last time that if it broke down again that I could have a faulty laptop and that they'll supply me with a brand new one, i'm hoping that's the case.

Do you play on Bwin often? What's your username?

The standard of play last night was just shocking, there was literally an all-in every 2nd hand on my table with just complete junk. People paying off 3-barrels with bottom pair and just about everyone jizzed their pants with any top-pair. People open-raising 6-10xbb and shoving their $5k stack into the middle pre-flop with A:diamonds:10:diamonds: etc. with blinds still at 10/20, just some of the stuff I saw I couldn't believe. Was easily softer than the daily $50 MTT's.

Hmmmm 2 weeks off from poker and I come back to a night where I can't win a flipping flip!

Playing 7 game low stakes.
Was going quiet well but made the mistake of missing the game change while playing two tables.
Went from well up to down because my dumb ass didnt register the change from Stud Hi to Razz.:o

What do you guys think of this? Surely has to be a scam? No chance i'm giving them a cent back if it is legit. If it is this will be the last time I play on OnGame, had so many problems with them.

Email sent to betsafe support:
Hi support, just received a call from a private number and they left a message. They're claiming to be someone from bwin support just called and left this message on my phone. Is what he's saying true and can you confirm this? Thought it was very odd for a number of reasons; firstly they are calling me instead of emailing as usual. Secondly they’re claiming to be from bwin when I’m registered with you guys (betsafe) and thirdly the whole concept seems ridiculously suss. Recorded the message for proof and included the audio file, let me know what's happening if this is actually legitimate or not. Thanks guys.

Transcript of the message:
"Oh hi Lachlan, its James from bwin here how are you? I'm just calling on behalf of the bwin management team and we've looked back through our records and there's actually been a few errors in your account, one possibly in the European Rebuy event. Now
unfortunately all the winnings are going to have to be refunded from that tournament, so if you could just drop us an email and I’ll give you a call back when you're available so we can discuss what we're going to do about this, because unfortunately we've found someone in the tournament was using unauthorized equipment to win the tournament. So we'll discuss this further at a later date, my name is James and just drop as an email at james@bwin.com, thanks mate bye.

I know UltimateBet make calls when you deposit to confirm it's your Credit Card; but this is a different situation.

Also, if someone was using an 'illegal' device to win the tournament, why would they take your winnings? You weren't cheating; if anything, you should move up the pay table because someone else was cheating who finished ahead of you?

Haha nevermind, i'm too gullable. Was one of my poker mates - met him through OnGame. Apparently he made it up on the spot as well, scared the shit out of me! :o

I was the winner TorresIsGod ;)

Betsafe's response to that email anyway: My God they're hopeless sometimes.
Hi, this is betsafe not bwin.
