I couldn't be happier with our position at the break. Although that 4 point loss against Hawthorn was a bitch.

Will be great for all the players to have a weeks break (especially Jnr and Bartel) after a great first half of the year.

Lets just hope they do not read the Geelong Advertiser and believe in their own hype to much. I hope nothing changes in the 2nd half of the year and we take no game for granted.

9-3 after 12 rounds.... 6-4 would be par for the last 10 games I think, however the way we are going we are alot better than that. 7-3 is what I would expect while anything above that would be sensational!

The lads have done us proud over the last 2 months and they deserve a small break. This break is much needed and considering we play the Swans in 2 weeks the guys need a freshen up after 2 slogfest games in a row.

Time to push on for a top 2 possie at the end of the year. Only need to win 3 more games to guarantee a finals berth.

Even if we were 5-5 in out last 10 games, that would make us 14-8 for the year, and with our great % we could sneak into the top 4 on that. Doubt it though. We'd need 15 wins minimum.

Too right, a weekend off is welcome after playing in those conditions, will need everything for the match against the Swans. Be nice if West Coast lose next Sunday, but against St Kilda? ROFL!

To go the other way, when a team has momentum like Geelong has right now, the break might actually work against you. Anyway, time will tell I guess. And I agree with CF, after two such 'slogfest' games, the break should be a good thing.

And hopefully Sydney will have a tough match against Collingwood next week!

It's true that a break can work against momentum, but when you've won this many on the trot, the law of averages would suggest you might be due to fall over anyway. They can start again after a break and imagine it's a clean slate.

Maybe even set themselves the target of chasing down the all-time league record of 26 games without a loss which is held by the class of 1952-53.

Keep the records in the club as much as we can... ;)

If a weeks break is ever a bad thing, why would the top teams in the finals get given one? To penalise them? I think not.

I think the weeks break will be sensational for the Catters.

They have worked very hard over the last seven weeks - good to take care of all those little niggly aches and pains.

Suprised ????

All i can say is that im am totally stoked with the way the catters have played over the last couple of months, But i must admit that i didnt see this coming after our loss to the Kanga's back in rnd 5, i really did wonder if this was going to be another misserable year for the club & the supporters, But im glad that to boyz have proven me wrong, Your hardness for the footy is inspirational & i really do believe that that the team have learnt their lesson from getting ahead of themselves & that i believe 2007 will be our year.

It all depends on the team , each one is different.
For us I think it couldnt have come at a better time. These guys have done everything that has been asked of them and think a break will stop them getting ahead of themselves and feel fresh to carry on for the rest of the mind blowing season.
Hope they relax and enjoy the break. they deserve it

IMO its a good test for the coaching staff and backroom folk. If we come out sluggish against the swans they'd have to take some responsibility.

Does anyone know what the teams plans are?

The break couldn't have come at a better time! After 2 interstaters and a wet slugfest the players will be loving the rest. This will set them up for the run to the finals. as Dennis would say the break is "centimeter perfect."

No offence, but considering we have done the SA double, the WA double at home, beaten the reigning premiers, and dominated teams in games which people expected us to drop, id guess that if that got through ALL that without getting ahead of themselves then there is nothing to suggest they will get big heads now.
