When was the last time he went through a Test match without dropping a catch?

The thing is, most of his dropped catches are bloody sitters!

I'd say Langr is not that good in the field although he does hand on to them if he has too. McGilla is right up there, as is Damian Martyn, after Haydens dismall display of slips catching I thought he was right up there. Tried to make a spectacular dive when there was no need.

It seems as though evers since he injured his finger his fielding hasn't been the same.

Boof Lehmann is too fat to move quickly, but he doesn't generally fumble.

Martyn has no excuse. Truth be told I don't like Damian Martyn at all. He can bowl part time a bit, can't field and his batting is frustrating to watch. Four innings out of five he'll scratch around and take an hour and a half to make twenty runs, then go out playing a stupid shot. The fifth innings he'll make a decent score quickly and make everyone wonder why he can't do it all the time.

Martyn, Lehmann & Langer. Still dont know why they moved Langer from bat pad. Hogg also seems to drop catches

Langer won't field at bat pad any more, as he has received a couple of serious blows to the head while batting in the last couple of years.

Doctors advised him (Langer) to move away from bat pad because of the blows he had been receiving there...I think the decision came after he was struck in the back of the neck over in South Africa (?). Therefore he doesn't field there anymore.

I agree...Martyn is the worst fielder in the Aussie side...couple this with the fact he is only a bits and pieces bowler and an average batsman...and it really makes me wonder why he is in the team.

I don't know why you're all gettting stuck into boofa, he may not have the catching skills of Symonds or Ponting, but he's still pretty reliable, and i reckon he has to be our most reliable close distance thrower.

Martyn is OK, took catch of the year ago.

Langer is my choice, another reason whyhe should be dropped.

Yer boof aint the quickest bloke off the mark but has very good hands, so anything straight to him generally stays.

ATM, Martyn is in poor fielding form, but normally he is one of the best fielders for us. Ponting, still the best
