Who's the worst umpire you've seen on the park? The worst for me would have to be Goldspink. Closely followed by McLaren.

Cheers. When the umpire at the Syd V Melb game gave that 50 meter, I was just bemused and very angry. The decision was probably the worst in history and the AFL are just lucky the demons won the match otherwise things could have turned nasty.

Umpiring is in a very ugly state indeed.

People are way too harsh on the umpires. The laws are so subjective and there is such a fine line for a lot of the rules. Probably the one that I see the most is the nudging someone under the ball/pushing in the back rule. I never know what the umpire will decide.

The fact that all the umpires are bad tells you what a difficult job it is. But some are better than others, and I have seen McBurney turn the game into a shamozzle on a few occaisons now. He is whistle happy, which is the worst thing an umpire can do.
