Club shape is out of whack currently. Academy flogged, NEAFL & Firsts both flogged. They wont have to look for long I suspect

Had an interrupted preseason and missed a game with something as well (back maybe) only a Second year player but he should get games in the back half of the year or maybe before the byePerryman being stuck in the 2nds given where we are makes me wonder if he is happy at the club, lost his brother in arms to Carlton last year and not really taking strides fwd this year. If that's the case I hope he gets over it, he is the kind of player we need in the bottom 6 of our best 22
More time in NEAFL.So looks like a pointless exercise with the General. Where to now?
Thanks for your ongoing posting of stats for our NEAFL team. In regards Budd, he's GWS academy. Canberra lad, now plays for Canberra Demons, but overager in the academy/U18 setup so plays NEAFL for GWS occasionally. Did you have a specific question? While he showed a bit last year and this, I don't think it would be enough to get him drafted. What's the story on Riley Budd #54 today, was one of your better players overall.
Played defence and some ruck from snippets I've seen, but presumably chops and changes depending on the team he's playing in. 19 year old. I did not see the game but obviously had good stats and if he caught your eye, must have played well too. He’s a big lad, possibly key position size but seemed to be playing midfield and covering the field quite well. I just thought he might have been a mature ager.

I really think Bunts time must come shortly.Full time with the GIANTS going down by 51pts.
GIANTS 11.8.74 to Demons 18.17.125 Patton (3 goals), Sproule (29 poss), Shipley (27 poss).
Interested to see how Buntine went, and some others. With more injuries in first grade (Reid) and some uninspiring players there should be opportunities.
I'd have to think it's just a matter of ensuring that he has sufficient conditioning for first grade. I hate to say it, but Isaac Cumming hasn't inspired me with confidence in his two games so far. Not fully his fault, no doubt, given how dustily the whole team is playing, but just hasn't shown all the skills he was drafted for IMHO. I'm not sorry that he's had a run in firsts, but I wouldn't be surprised if he (likely Shipley before him) went back to NEAFL after a taste of first grade. Will be good for his overall development. Bunts would be a suitable replacement. Otherwise, it might depend on other injuries etc and team balance as to how we get Bunts back in.
