Yes I think Big Footy should offer a prize for the one who actually gets close to the draft picks in order, I don't know much of the youngsters mentioned so i would be useless, I think the top 2 aare settled although I would love the Crows to get Trengrove he will be better than Buckley, So Big Footy do you think the poster with the closest draft choices should receive well at least a box of chockies.

:)

lol im sure alot of people would like trengrove but no chance in hell he could get past 3 really or port.

but cause your idea of the prize is put forward you need to be more specific how far does it need to be 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th round?

also lets see you phantom draft that would be great so you can try win your own prize

Last year there was a competition that if someone could nail the first round they won like $5000 or something. No one got it. I think one or two people were one off.

Getting the exact first round is almost impossible.

I wouldn't mind seeing a prize for the top 10.
Now that I was one off from nailing last year and I was actually convinced by someone with plenty of mail to go against my gut of taking Davis at 10 for the Crows.

BigFooty will be holding a draft competition again this year.

The details have yet to be finalised, but I'd expect there to be a significant financial prize for anyone who can correctly tip the entire first round (including Melbourne's priority pick).

For those of us who are mere mortals, there will be a consolation prize of a BFSC membership for the member who goes closest to correctly tipping the entire first round. Precisely what constitutes "closest" has yet to be defined - but will be announced formally at some later date.

And people being restricted to one phantom as an official entry lol - seeings some people already seem to be up to version 64 already

"Oooooh I nearly got the 1st round right with my 14th permutation - I rock" :o
People will be restricted to 1 entry per person in the competition. However, they will be able to edit their entry at any time prior to the start of the draft.

I was not happy when Geelong pulled 'Mitch Brown' out of the hat last year and cost me $5k!

Sure I was happy to win the BFSC membership but can't help but still feel jaded...

I would award the BFSC prize off a points system. It would be harder to pick correctly as the draft goes on, so more points would be available for later selections. I would make it so that

3 points are available for picks 1-10, with 3 points awarded if you choose correctly and 1 point if the selection was 1 place off (eg one before or one after your selection)

For picks 11-20 I would make it 4 points for a correct selection and 1.5 points if you were 1 place off

Picks 21-30 would be 5 points for a correct selection and 2 points for 1 place off.

Anything past pick 30 is null and void (unless if a tie breaked is needed, then you could work something out)

The competition will only be for the first round - but feel free to select more if you feel like it.
