Carlton are not premiership worthy
If West Coast can avoid the pies at the G they could make a grand final appearance
Saints and bulldogs will push the 8
richmond and north are hopeless
gold coast need ablett
essendon arent dead

Maybe I'm just overrating the Pies or expecting something that may never come, but I still don't think we've played especially well for a full four quarters yet this year (despite Harry O'Brien saying today was "a good four quarter effort" on Twitter post-game).

Yeah should of won by 260 if you put it together. :thumbsu:

Should I cancel the ticker tape parade then? :(

1. Having the bye is really boring

2. Carlton are as overrated as ever (not a knee jerk)

3. West Coasts transformation has been amazing. It would have to make Richmond fans envious seeing West Coast be terrible one year and bounce back to contention so quickly.

Interesting thing to say coming from a Fremantle fan! (Re: Richmond)

Settle down there tiger!

I learnt that when the Dogs play to their potential they are an exciting team to watch.

A midfield of Boyd, Cooney, Cross, Griffen, Ward, Picken, Higgins can only lead to a poor team for so long. Eventually you are going to win some games with that lineup in the most important part of the ground.

That Collingwood is playing September football in July, but saying they aren't. Talking a tad too much, lads.

That happened last year, and they played even better footy in September. Could well happen again with a more experienced, mature group of players.

1. Collingwood will win the flag

2. Callan Ward has decided to join GWS

What makes you say that? Is it because he played his best game of the year so was mentally relaxed which implies he's made a decision? Either was it is a long bow to draw and if he has made a decision you can't be sure which one.

We're getting a bit overrated by the footy public atm. We're ok but we're not that good.

Don't resist it, enjoy it for all it's worth!

As a footy fan the hard times are much easier to come by than the good.

The opposition will be more than happy to drag you down if you stumble. They certainly won't cut you any slack when you fail because you were humble when things were going well.

We were all laughing at you last year, we aren't laughing now. Jokes on us.

So many people saying they learnt this round collingwood are daylight ahead of the rest, surely they already knew.

For me as it stands at the moment with current best fit 22s

Collingwood
Daylight
Geelong, West Coast
Hawks
Blues (assuming they can get their best 22 back, they have no KPP Depth and have not for some time, they should have traded for some, they should have sacrificed one of their midget brigade for a KPP)
Daylight
Sydney
Bulldogs
Essendon

--------------------
Saints, Freo, Richmond, Melbourne, Kangaroos
Bit of light
Adelaide, Brisbane
Bit of light
Gold Coast, Port

I don't think even the most ardent Blues fans thought they would win the flag this year.
This ^^^

I am still yet to find a quote from any Carlton supporter saying that we will win the flag this year and currently we will struggle to be in the Top 4 with a few good teams still to come and we are looking at another knockout final again against a dangerous opponent.

Take it you missed the thread on your own board (no surprise it has just been locked) "lid is off" Plenty in there!

Spot on don't undersell it, its not like its a bunch of 22 year olds out there and we should wait a few years, there is a core of the team at the peak of their powers cox, embley, kerr, glass, lynch and we have had a great injury run you need to have a crack when things are going your way, no reason the eagles should not be looking to make the GF especially with their draw.
I will admit we are not near collingwood yet but who knows they may get injuries, you just never know.

Richmond's deficiencies are astonishing and comprehensive. In some ways, Harwick has the toughest job in the comp. At least the other flailing teams are gearing towards total rebuilds. The Tiges are a Frankenstein monster.

Is that right? Richmond at least led and looked OK for a half or so before hitting the wall. Seems to me we're better situated to improve than some other teams undergoing "total rebuilds".

3. West Coasts transformation has been amazing. It would have to make Richmond fans envious seeing West Coast be terrible one year and bounce back to contention so quickly.

Last year West Coast mainly fielded teams in the 1100-1400 games range and won the spoon.

Just a little envious, yes. :p

-The Bulldogs will fill the last spot in the 8. St. Kilda may just scrape in also.
-Carlton will finish in the top 4 ahead of West Coast, but get belted by Collingwood in the 1st final, clinch a win over the Eagles in Week 2, before getting walloped for the 2nd time in 3 weeks by the Cats in the Prelim.
-The unjustified hype surrounding West Coast is becoming ridiculous, despite beating Geelong (however only just and at Subi), they are yet to beat or even get close to Collingwood and I am not sold on them at all until they do so. Although their transformation has been pretty good, they are not yet a top 4 side and people are carrying on as though they just won the flag. Have clearly overtaken Carlton as the most overrated side in the comp.
-Cannot tip games involving Essendon correctly, can get 6 or 7 tips every week but not 8.

I agree but enjoy it, but be prepared for those to pretend your whole supporter base was convinced you had the flag in the bag when you fail

I fancy the Saints against the Eagles this week actually.
