Observations you've made at work, or just in general that have made you wonder just how dumb some members are of society in their decision making. This does not necessarily relate to ones IQ rather things that just make you go what the f***.

I'll get the ball rolling: Self service at supermarkets, don't mind the odd mistake or need for assistance but its a very simplistic system that some people just claim is too complicated. Could be put down to laziness but in my view its relatively easy.

Kids getting picked up from school that live <2km away. Going on observations made going to school over my journey these kids will never have the chance to tell their grandkids the story of how they seemingly conquered everest each day just to get to school rather many are picked up and taken home without the 20-30 minutes of exercise that a lot of young kids could really use.

Littering: From general rubbish to cigarette butts no excuses really. They may have taken a few bins away recently for various reasons (terrorism, upkeep) but how hard is it to store or just hang onto your rubbish until you find a bin or acceptable means of disposal. Not to mention how small fragments of plastic can eventually find their way back into our systems via the food chains.

You just gave three examples of laziness rather than anything to do with intelligence.
Laziness is a big factor but using the example of the school kids. Is it really the kids choice to get picked up. They can ask to be picked up but really their parents can just go against it and tell them to walk.

Agree with the first one. Blows my mind how anyone could not understand how to use one.

People's inability to solve simple addition/subtraction sums really blows my mind. At work last year I saw a bloke in his 40s/50s pull out a calculator to solve a problem along the lines of 320+45. I couldn't believe it. I lose all respect for someone's intelligence when I see that sort of thing.

I can forgive teenagers working in retail, but seeing it from grown adults is pretty embarassing.

Popular music.

Heard a stupid song a few months back that I was certain was a joke. There's no way it could be a serious song. It's just a guy talking (not singing) about buying a moped.

Nope. It'd been number 1 for weeks. People are dumb.

The fact this got prime time reflects what channel 9 thinks of the australian public.

Well this is the channel that shows the Big Bang Theory in prime time so I guess they figured if people are dumb enough to watch that they'll watch shit Aussie sitcoms too.

Apparently Here Comes The Habibs rated quite well last night but surely most people were tuning in just to see what a trainwreck it was. I watched some of it and there wasn't anything remotely funny about it, it was cringeworthy.
