Third Tall Forward

I imagine the set up eventually will be Goodes, Reid and one of the above along with Mumford and probably LRT as the 2 rucks. Although perhaps the coaches will not want to go in with so many talls. I'm not sure.

It's very close between Walsh and Spangher for that 3rd tall for me. Happy with either to be honest.

Goodes. I'd use him as a third tall with stints in the midfield. Walsh is strong enough to compete as our first or second tall, even if he won't kick a lot of goals yet. He'll bring the ball to ground, make a contest and bring our horde of midfielders-that-spend-time-forward into the game.

Spanker and Walsh with Reid until Goodes comes back. Even after he may play mainly on-ball with rests forwards. Everitt to play on a wing if he keeps improving. Jetta on a wing. McGlynn, TDL, Bolton...possibly Morton if he pushes his way in.

How far is spanker from playing seniors ?

I know that Alex Johnson has played down back since being drafted but he played all his Jr Footy at a forward and loves nothing more than kicking a goal. I recall he kicked a couple of bags of 7.

It's something I've wondered about for a while, whether Longmire will pull the trigger and try AJ up forward but I don't think it's going to happen any time soon. He's such a handy and versatile defender who can play on resting ruckmen or small forward and everything in between so I think Longmire just likes having that versatile defender down back to move around as he wishes.

I think it's more likely Horse will continue to experiment with Walsh, Spangher, White, Morton. I'd prefer Spangher and Morton to get games if our forward line continues to splutter.

With Alex's stamina he can run all day so is very suited as a defender (and is doing an amazing job all thing considered).

Hold out until trade week and snare one of our guys like Dunn and than annoyingly turn him into a star.

Looking at the Saints game everyone was in the defensive 50, so what does it matter who yr forwards are? lol However, TDL must get a start, Walsh might need a bit more grooming, the game against Melb was a false indicator. As soon as the Strut is fit enuf, get him on, and Goodes will play out most of his game time this year in teh forward line
