NO is the answer.
Well nothing has been released, I have scoured all media and nothing is being said not even rumours at present.
Perhaps he wants too much!
Based on form so far it would want to be moderate in 2011.
What that means I do not know as I have very little knowledge of what a No. 1 pick who has not done a lot on his first contract is worth.
Others may have a better idea.

I can confirm there was talks about a new (3 year?) deal just waiting for a sig.

We would have to get a 1st rounder after our 1st pick + a 1st rounder at the end of the 1st round AND the AFL would have to make sure Viney didn't go anywhere but the Dee's (regardless of what his wants )

Im pretty sure thats the most you can get from a GC related deal. Tier 1 simmilar to what the cats would get for Gary if he so chooses to go.

Ofcourse I'm not saying Watts is anywhere near Ablett in terms of ability but maybe we would get such concession because of potential and the fact that jack was a recent number 1 pick.

Imagine the uproar if he left for GC and we only got a 2nd rounder for him due to current playing ability. All other clubs would lose faith in the compensation from GC and GWS (more so).

I'd also cry for about 15 months.

He will sign. First these things are not done in a day, and second the club is juggling a whole bunch of contracts at the moment so it's always a bit of a jigsaw between keeping the players (or more correctly the managers) happy and balancing the books.

Powers to be at Melbourne would look very silly and for all his modest return so far he looks at home at the MFC.
