This year's first draft pick

Dont know if this has been already mentioned but im sure i read something the last few days in the paper that our first draft pick this year will wear the famous number 2 next season.

What a fantastic honour if true.

I think a draftee getting the #2 guernsey would be the last person it is offered to, not the first.

I read this too...maybe Herald Sun online. It also said Geelong were willing to give 29 to a kid selected this year.

So you think we should give this to pick 60 odd or 70 odd whatever pick we have instead of our first pick?? Not sure i agree

We normally just offer the lowest number to the earliest pick but maybe if the first pick is in the 20's we could consider someone like Taylor Hunt or Laidler for such an early number.
