...and this is my point, if I continue to go down this road of replying to your crap I run the risk of violation as this is a Richmond Board. This is exactly why a thread like this should be in Bay 13. I could use all sorts of colourful descriptions for the last 25 years of Richmond ;) but I won't.
I hardly think, with your lame attempt to upset our Mods, would possibly be worthy than anything than a stern look. In reference to the "crap I post"', can you tell me where Melbourne are going to find the required 30,000 members to make this statement from your President true? No I didn't think so. No need to tell me I'm right. Oh and by the way, I've actually seen my team win a flag x 4 so unless your some tweed wearing freak with elbow patches that is sick of the stock exchange website stay on your precious Melb board where nobody gets hurt. PS I'm pretty sure where you can stick your wink too.

And if it was on Bay 13 it would be reasonable for anyone to respond. I appreciate your restraint while visiting our boards (unlike most of the Carlton and Hawthorn morons who basically live over here), but I say again - go away.

(I don't know why that quote has been attributed to hagansbull, it should be RandB. I think the system is cracking under all the bull***t)

FFS, Davey is 3 years older than Tambling, so you'd expect him to show a bit more! Wait till Tambo reaches the same age (23) and he will be a better player than Davey was at that age. That is a much better way of comparing them!

So using this logic, lets use the same on Tambling and Gibbs....3 years difference...when Gibbs is 21 it'll prove he is a much better than Tambling was at the same time...i mean after 1 year of footy the stats already show that he is even....

yet you carlton clowns post in our threads time and time again:confused:

and then you wonder why we continue to post 'stupid' threads;)

So funny you say that, i must admit that i see more RFC fans hijacking carlton threads on our board, which is why we coming hunting for you silly fools...but the fact is you all enjoy opposition supporters coming over here, it makes you all feel some what important...but we all just get pure enjoyment out of it!!

Looks like the queue waiting to buy grand final tickets to the aints second flag.

Is that the same queue that has been waiting for RFC final tickets for the past 27 years??

how many carlton players does it take to change a light bulb ???

none !! they cant climb a ladder .... hahahahaha

Gee and who was under Carlton in 2007 and 2004???
- adds credit to your post!!! LOL

I find this very funny about Tambling...taken from Wikipedia
'Tambling is also known for being a cult figure amongst grass roots footy fans for a variety of reasons. Firstly he is known for having the propensity to score the first goal of a game, giving rise to the term "Gambling on Tambling" which refers to the first goal punting phenomena'

Gee its a shame he hasn't captured that form in AFL, maybe he should stick to playing under 12's

So why is it that Gibb so good? Is it because he's a ball magnet? Is it because he's the only good midfielders in your team? And since you used that logic, does that mean Foley will potentially be better than Judd if they were both at the same age? Can't say because frankly it's one of the most stupidest logic ever used. It's like comparing Mohammad Ali and Mike Tyson. Both are of different age and both from a different era. Won't work.

Of course you guys do, you might as well join the RFC and we join the CFC. Sounds fair right? With that amount of time spending on each other board and knowing so much of each others players, we might as well have dual memberships. Pfft...

And? So what if Tiges supporters are waiting for 27 years. We don't need your pity or anything else for that matter. Go pity the Dockers, Bulldogs and Saints.

And who was under us in 2002, 2005 and 2006?

Yawn. This Carlton Vs. Richmond threads should be settled when Round 1 starts.

- Just using the logic that was used by a Richmond supporter...he was saying that you need to compare played when the were at the same age....which is why is responded that way...read my post in full.
- Plus as the sats show at this satge, both Tambling and Gibbs are even on the stats board...so for mine they are equal...i only see Gibbs taking over in 2008.
- I don't think i referred to Gibbs as a ball magnet or our only good midfielder, comparing against an underachieve Tambling
- And the Judd and Foley thing you refer to, at the same age, Judd had already had a brownlow and AA, so no they are comparable at the same age, and it doens't make Foley a potential superstar like Judd, and by the way Foley and Judd are from the same era...so compare away....i don't care for the age thing.

At some point you have to compare based on age, you can't say somebody like a Kouta is better than somebody like a Deledio as they are years apart, but comparing results, stats and achievements at the same stage in careers is done world wide....

Maybe...but i stand by my point that there are many more hijacking RFC fans on the Carlton board, i posted 2 related Carlton threads this week, no mention of RFC at all and the 2nd post in both were a RFC bagging Carlton, no relevance to the topic...

Yes it happens on the RFC but not as much as on the Carlton board.

Not giving you pity at all, just pointing out that you can't have a go at a StKilda fan when your own backyard is nothing to write home about.

True that would be Carlton...not denying that, but for somebody to throw a silly comment like the RFC fan did, just asks for a comeback!!!

Are you a little sensitive?? You seem like you could use a valium!!

I'm more than happy to let round 1 do the talking and then back it up in round 14 when Carlton defeat Richmond in their 100 year celebration!!!

Its funny that RFC asked to play Carlton in their celebration game, was it they thought Carlton would be the only team they could beat??

No, that's one of the stupidest things you'll read on BF.

Idiot.
If you're going to pump up a players tyres, then you probably should watch him a little more and be honest, rather than just blatantly back him and pretend he's some superstar just waiting to have the ball bounce his way.
Tambling IS lazy. He has speed, talent and skill, yet he spends the majority of his time jogging around the flanks and is not willing to push himself to the contest. I've watched him on numerous occasions and he is lazy. No other word describes his inability to include himself in the play.

Sure, he's had some good patches of play and some good quarters, but only he lets himself down with a lack of intensity.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but doesn't the thread address "Those Doubting Tambling"... I doubt Tambling so surely I am entitled to comment. :)

Lets all cut to the chase. This thread deals with Tambling and I think from what I have seen it is safe to assume apart from maybe two posters that we all think he stinks, as even the tigers fans are not defending him.

Thread closed: Tambling stinks motion passed 98 to 2

With your past posts, I think you would. I've only posted here once. Though that back pain is killing me, reckon you can buy me one Valium?

Who knows, Round 1 is a funny round. Who would've thought that Geelong would lose the 1st 3 round and rampage to win the GF?

Its funny that RFC asked to play Carlton in their celebration game, was it they thought Carlton would be the only team they could beat??

No, it's because Carlton and Richmond games are crowd pullers. You'd must admit the rivalry is fierce and at the same time, all these battles on BF can all be settled by the players.

Besides, this is all fun and games. I can't wait for season 2008.

Sorry boys, but at this stage Tambling is rubbish. If you want to talk him up, then wait for him to do something. He is unproven so dont even bother trying to convince either yourselves or anyone else otherwise. Whoever said he is a better pickup then Buddy needs to find another sport to follow, because they obviously have no idea and is wasting time.

And to continue RFC's posts...

Was interesting watching last season's game against the Roos last night.

Tambling was very poor defensively at times, but he also took two very good contested marks, kicked our only goal of the first quarter, extricated himself from dead end situations at two stoppages playing as a rover (one of them was just sublime where he collected the ball in a very tight pack, ducked under two tacklers right beside him and used his speed to avoid all others), and had several 90m plays where he grabbed the ball at half back and ran past a would be tackler like he was standing still - one of them he kicked the ball 55m to a Nathan Brown lead and hit him on the forehead.

People who don't think this kid has enormous talent just haven't been watching, or don't know the difference between the exceptional and the mundane. He's got a lot of areas which need work, but he's going to be a very good player once he starts putting it all together.

That's all well and good, but you're presuming he will.
He could well be the next Damien Cupido. Loads of talent and potential, but where is he now???
Or the next Damiel Wells, equally as talented but has he ever really put it all together? Sure he's played some good games, but he's never reached that elite level that many thought he would.

The difference between those two and Tambling is the will and ability to work hard. Tambling's already a long way from the skinny kid who arrived in Melbourne with his eyes popping out of his head. If anything, he's the type who tends to be too hard on himself and batters his own confidence, not a coaster who thinks he can cruise on talent alone.

I think tambling has be unfairly targeted "For not being a superstar at age 20 " he is a very good player who was under developed when he started and now looks pretty big and fit. i think he has the ability to be a consistant player that can spark the team during games with run and carry.

This thread would be about any player that came after Franklin in the draft. I do find it funny that everyone is all over tambling yet Roughy gets away with poor performances and more time in the reserves than Tambling. the top 5 kids picked in any draft almost have too much pressure to be superstars from day one. before any hawthorn supports get their undies in a twist Roughy will become a dominent player in time.

I dont hope he will be a good player because he already is.
